Knights get off to fast start, avoid late scare to top Tr...

Enough said? You didn't make a point, except to expose your weak argument. So let me get this straight, Mr. "Enough Said", a team which works through the long season, works through the ridiculous district tournament, works through the state brackets and actually plays in the finals but does not win the blue trophy is no better than, let's say YOUR team, which does not fight through the district tournament, does not make it into or at least survive the state bracket, and does not win a blue trophy? According to you, the only measure of success is winning the championship? Really? That's a load of cr A p and we all know it. So what is it you are really saying? I will tell you. You don't like Mr. Morrow because he can take third or fourth best talent in the district, put it together into a winning season, make it through the district, and make it through the brutal state brackets, and end up 2nd in the state. You are miffed that YOUR team, probably with more talent and less coaching, had the POTENTIAL to be successful but wasn't. I have some spilled beer you can cry in. Do us a favor and spout your incredible lack of insight and dumbness for us all to marvel in. I looked up "dumb" in the dictionary and it had your name by it, Herkimer.  (Feb 2, 2011 | post #52)

Naw. You can, with a little more effort and forethought, sound even dumber than that. It won't be easy, because you are the poster boy for stupid, but I believe in you and I think you can outdo even yourself! Drink another beer on the broken down porch, get your sheet with the eyeholes laundered, and buy another gun and I think you will be ready for the ace #1 dumbest post ever, even outdoing yourself  (Feb 2, 2011 | post #50)

The far right is very intimidated by A.) successful women and B.) very intelligent women. Madow would, of course, be the object of derision by clunks who possess less than 10% of her IQ.  (Feb 2, 2011 | post #41)

As former Governor Bruce King was famously quoted, this aricle by Ashley Meeks sure opened up a "box of Pandoras". Indeed.  (Feb 2, 2011 | post #199)

Listen, I'm not making excuses for LCHS or MHS...the Knights won 4A that year. My point, which evidently was lost, was "how might they have done in the 5A bracket that year?" About that same time, OHS won the state 4A football title, and MHS beat them 30-0 in the intra-city rivalry. There is a boatload of difference between 4A and 5A as far as depth of quality goes year-in and year-out. Maybe they would have won 5A too, but the fact they crushed the Dawgs and Trojans that year doesn't necessarily qualify them to be 5A champs too.  (Feb 2, 2011 | post #38)

Never seen them at any district festival. I have gone to hear my grandkids and have never ever seen MVCS at district festival. One grandchild went to MVCS briefly, and one reason she transferred out was the lack of a quality music program. The high school group was on the same level as her public school middle school beginning band, more or less.  (Feb 2, 2011 | post #194)

Good question. The district festival is just that. Each school competes against a standard as judged by three judges. The small Christian school in Alamogordo which does to to festival doesn't "compete " against 5A schools, but against itself, depending on the music it plays and how well it plays it. A music program really isn't legitimate until it prepares its program and goes to festival. Until it does that, it just a class at school. It's good for the teacher and the students to be adjudicated and receive comments on how well they play the music they have chosen. I wish MVCS would participate. They need to.  (Feb 2, 2011 | post #192)

Hasn't Morrow taken the Trojans to the state finals two out of the last four years?  (Feb 2, 2011 | post #24)

I guess I don't understand why they do not compete in solo and ensemble and district large group BECAUSE they have an amazing band director? I would think if the band director is amazing the kids would be given the opportunity to compare themselves with the other groups in the district. It really isn't fair to the students or to the program to remain isolated.  (Feb 2, 2011 | post #186)

One brush with glory for the nites and they think they define basketball greatness. Just a prediction: OHS will not win the district tournament, let alone state.  (Feb 2, 2011 | post #21)
