Film documents Mormon role in gay marriage debate
No surprise, two wrongs do not make a right. You can not logically defend the honor of your prophet by claiming that others did worse! The Catholic Church did far worse over an eleven hundred year period! That in no way justifies the actions of Brigham Young and the Danites. by the way how do you know what coffee smells like :) Personally I am willing to accept a heartfelt apology by Brigham Young. I presently see the world in a different light than you do. I have been attempting to share that with you. I see something that Joseph Smith missed. I see consciousness as the foundation of all that exists. I see universes such as this one coming and going like so many soap bubbles in the bathwater. But most of all, I see an egalitarian Cosmos that is creating all of these universes on the fly as we speak. A Cosmos of LOVE that is beyond your wildest imaginings! An egalitarian Cosmos of infinite proportions. But best of all, I see all of us including you as co-creators of this amazing universe and all the others! I don't expect you to take my word for it. But it would not hurt you to check it out. The Hierarchy of Joseph Smith is false. The Cosmos works in a way that I have called LOVE in an attempt to name it. But if it is love, it is unconditional love, it is love that does not hold back. It is LOVE that does not perish! EVER! and you, no surprise, just like me and all the rest of us are one with this LOVE, forever! Like it or not! :) this also includes Brigham Young and your ancestor John D. Lee by the way. Eternity is all that is real! IT is our home! It always has been and always will be! Like the rock group the Moody Blues sang, "see the world that's what it's for, understanding nothing more" This whole grand universe is just a steppin stone on our incredible journey! Mormons: We are Christians, too
Concerned in Brasil said "Again to be saved Jesus the Apostles taught us to look outside of ourselves to the Jesus' scrafice on the cross. When we do so we are filled with the Spirit of God and thus his kingdom is within us, but it is not of us it is a forgein spirit to ours. You can try to rip one scripture compeletly out of context and maybe on fools of this world you nonesense may work but it does not on me. Get behing me satan, you are an anti-christ and you are anti-truth. Blessings. " well, you pick and chose scripture, I will go with the reality of the infinite LOVE that is the foundation of consciousness that we all share! Someday you will too! There is nowhere else to go :) (10 hrs ago | post #16088)
Bloodless Surgery Growing in Popularity with Major Hospitals
Bloodless surgery has always been preferred. The Jehovah's Witnesses make a big deal out of the blood replacements that are available to prevent blood pressure from falling to low, but what they fail to understand there is no substitute for real hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is what is vital in keeping the oxygen level at the proper level. While most surgeries can be accomplished with minimal blood loss it isn't always the case. So we are still left with the problem of the misunderstanding of this group of people causing needless loss of life. I remember a very nice little girl as I was growing up who fell off of her father's tractor. The doctors said blood was essential, the parents refused, and the little girl died of something that could have easily been prevented in a hospital with plenty of blood to give. Too young to appreciate that she was being a martyr for a cause she did not even understand! (11 hrs ago | post #60)
Spirituality: Someday, Muslims and Christians will get along
What is, is! This universe is what it is. Science is beginning to understand the holographic nature of what is. http://www.bizchar ts.com/stoa_del_so l/plenum/plenum_3. html It does not match the teachings of any of the various patriarchal religions that insist they alone have wisdom! Jesus was a mystic, someone else mentioned that on this thread. Jesus said "The kingdom of God is within YOU!" and he really meant it! We are all one with an infinite organic whole that we are just beginning to become conscious of. Here is a simple meditation that I have constructed for myself, taking in to consideration having been born into a primitive patriarchal religion which instilled fear in it's followers of going within as Jesus said: http://grandpasmur f9520.wordpress.co m/2009/06/06/wakin g-up-a-simple-medi tation/ this is simply about waking up to your true nature as a human being. Mormon leader: religious freedom at risk
Buttout said "I think I really like your way of thinking :) It's the closest to Einstein's beliefs I've seen on here. Beautiful. If only there weren't half wits ready to throw a wrench in our tires with their bigotry and ignorance. " thank you, I read you post about your son, and I would like to share this with you. I, myself am also hetrosexual but I am begining to understand that our true nature is androgynous with the exception of one other entity in this infinite Cosmos. I have been working on this for over 40 years and still have difficulty getting anyone to understand it but it appears to me that we are all co-creators in this amazing and infinite Cosmos that is the great projector so to speak that projects the holomovement that is this universe that most of us consider the totality of what is along with an infinite number of other universes that come and go like bubbles in the quantum foam. It can be more easily understood if you familiarize yourself with the nature of a hologram. What we consider time, space, matter, it's all a projection of a holographic nature. David Bohm coined the word "HOLOMOVEMENT " to describe it. http://www.bizchar ts.com/stoa_del_so l/plenum/plenum_3. html anyway, once you have understood at least hypothetically, the nature of (or lack of) reality, you will have to agree that a hologram needs coordinates. How do we become aware of the essential and precise infinitesimally accurate coordinates to create this amazing Cosmos? Well, here is what I came up with: http://grandpasmur f9520.wordpress.co m/2009/06/25/soulm ates-an-unfolding- revelation/ my wife say's that I should stop calling it a revelation but after having more and more complex graphic visions confirmed (mathematica is great :)) I really have to say that it is coming from a deeper part of me than my conscious mind. The reason I want to share this with you, and your son, is that perhaps if your son can see that a sacred LOVING relationship can exist for him just as it should and does for all of us, his hope in eternal LOVE and meaning in the universe can be restored. Also you comment about Einstien. He was my childhood hero, and when I felt I was going mad, that what I was seeing just could not be right, I kept going inspired by his statement "God does not play dice" You see the point where I am in disagreement with mainstream quantum physics is in the idea that the fluctuations in the quantum foam is random. The soulmate concept would explain how it could appear to be random and also explain how it works. This is the point that was extremely difficult to put down in words when I first realized it. God is not a HE, God is not a SHE, God is all of us together in a grand procession of waking up to our true nature! (12 hrs ago | post #1107)

No Surprise said "1b. The problem that you keep missing Smurf, is your comparison value. You see nothing wrong with comparing the murdering minds of a bunch of men from 150 years ago to how millions of Mormons think today. You think and you have stated the mind set is one and the same for both time periods. That means to you, all Mormons, children to adults have murder on their mind today as did that small group of men. Do you see how sick and twisted that thinking is? That is your sickly, twisted thinking Smurf, not mine." well the words, sickly, twisted thinking are your projection of what you think I think, based on your misunderstanding of what I say. You are looking for points to attack. You don't bother to ponder what I say. I suppose you will believe what you want til it fails to work for you anymore. Blood atonement was looked on with shock even when Brigham Young was still alive by most decent people. Contrary to the beliefs of mormon's there were decent non murderous people then just as today. Why don't you ask other non-mormons what they think of slitting someone's throat then disemboweling them for their own good? How many people do you think you will find that think it's a noble idea of a divine prophet? I will say it again! Brigham Young is still held in high regard by you and the mormons but not by anyone who is outside of your circle of belief! and explain what he meant when he used the phrase "Use them up" for us? and as long as you look up to him after what he did you are simply following in his insane footsteps even if you do not act out his insanity precisely as he did! Jehovah's Witnesses are true disciple of Jesus Christ
Rip said "At death, all integrity-keepers are safe in God’s memory, and their future life is guaranteed.(Job 14:14, 15)" Do you ever wonder what would happen if Jehovah resurrected the same person twice? Which would be the real one? Are would they both be clones of someone who no longer exists? Consciousness is a little bit more complex than the Jehovah's Witnesses seem to be able to understand! Atheism requires as much faith as religion?
(continued from previous post) Jesus pointed towards an infinite Cosmos of which each and every one of us is an integral part. When he said "God is LOVE" he was acknowledging the simple reality of what already is but is not seen due to the patriarchal doctrine that had blinded the populace with fear. Science is slowly confirming what he said. Religion is denying what he said and teaching otherwise. You may notice that I use the phrase "Mystical Atheism for Everyone" under my avatar here on topix. If the word "Theology " is the study of god, the only god that could be studied with a finite mind would have to be finite in nature. So I consider theology the study of the anthropomorphic projection that many learned scholars consider God. In my view of what is, I use the word "LOVE" to denote the very real consciousness that we all share at least on the deepest level of our subconscious. Jesus was limited to explaining the mystical vision that he had in concepts that the primitive people around him could relate to. Parables helped but were often completely misunderstood. The word "Kingdom " for example. In a Cosmos comprised of an infinite number of equal entities the word kingdom would be nonsensical. The word egalitarian would be considered nonsensical to a culture who was taught to believe in a spiritual hierarchy with God at the top and slaves at the bottom, and various degrees of power awarded to those who actively support the structure in between. Today we are finding in our investigation of the universe around us that things are not as they appear. Statements of ultimate scriptural truth are being proven wrong. People are freaking out since their whole cosmology has been built on a myth! The answer that Jesus and other mystics offered has largely been ignored as impractical and to some extent this has been true. In the struggle to survive most of us do not have the luxury of spending several hours a day in meditation. Well, today we have some useful tools to help ease the task of introspection into our true nature. An understanding of the holographic nature of this universe and the obvious implications of a projector allows us to focus more clearly on our task. We simply have to determine for ourselves as individuals, are we a part of the projection (the illusion ) or are we a part of the projector? Here is a discussion of the implications of David Bohm's work on the HOLOMOVEMENT as he calls it: http://www.bizchar ts.com/stoa_del_so l/plenum/plenum_3. html remember, the hologram was not even invented til 1947 and could not be demonstrated til a coherent light source could be provided with the invention of the laser. It was this key invention that inspired David Bohm to put two and two together and come up with the math to support the holographic nature of our universe! (13 hrs ago | post #7205)
Atheism requires as much faith as religion?
Gail said "I have news for them—news to the contrary. The reality is that the emptiness that results from the loss of the transcendent is stark and devastating, philosophically and existentially. " well, emptiness is perhaps needed. Here is the Merriam Webster Dictionary's definition of the word transcendent : 1 a : exceeding usual limits : surpassing b : extending or lying beyond the limits of ordinary experience c in Kantian philosophy : being beyond the limits of all possible experience and knowledge 2 : being beyond comprehension 3 : transcending the universe or material existence. If you are full of illusions, no matter how comfortable they may be, you have no room for true spiritual growth. In other words, if your cup is empty it can be filled but if it is full, no matter what the contents may be there is no more room! The idea that blind faith is better than honest ignorance is the insanity that is promoted by the Patriarchal Religious Military Industrial Complex. The word "transcendent " has been a useful tool in the vocabulary of the teachers of the Patriarchal insanity that teaches of a god only approachable through the proper channels. (MALE ONLY) These "channels " are usually through Prophets that claim to have a direct connection to a transcendent intelligence that the rest of us can not approach. well, what Jesus ACTUALLY taught is in harmony with what many mystics from around the globe and throughout history have been saying, "Look within yourself" When JESUS said "The kingdom of God is within you" he really meant it! Of course if each of us has a direct connection with the infinite intelligence that is the foundation of all that exists this kind of negates any need for religious authorities to dictate God's will to the rest of us :) Perhaps this is why he was quickly killed and his message replaced with a variation of the patriarchal volcano god worship he came to expose. wolvarine said "For Once Would You Please Pull Your Head Out And Prove That Believing In GOD Is Ignorance ?? Some Proof Please...Not More Dribble...Somethin g ?? Anything ?? Didnt Think So " well,,,.. if you mean Jehovah, that one is easy! Jehovah is a misunderstanding of a mistranslation of the sacred name given to the anthropomorphism created by the warrior tribe of Israel to justify their raping and pillaging the surrounding tribes. The theology of this god is that HE is a distant watchmaker god who created the universe and then stepped back to watch the show, making threats and generally condemning most of HIS creation. Well, we are beginning to understand that the basic foundation of all that exists is a form of holographic consciousness that some of us are just now beginning to tune into consciously. This reality could be called "God" but some of us chose not to use the word simply because it is so strongly associated with Jehovah the false volcano god who destroys over 95 % of everything he creates! Here is a little more information about this volcano god: http://grandpasmur f9520.wordpress.co m/2009/07/10/the-v olcano-god/ (15 hrs ago | post #7194)

Atheists on the march in America
Slavic Baptist said "After 9-11 US embassy entry in Moscow was covered with flowers. You need to stop beliving Bushism wacos lies on Russia. " thank you. We all need to start focusing on the LOVE that does manifest in our world. Too often we focus on the negative in others to make ourselves appear to be better than we are. With LOVE we can help each other to grow in a real way. What you posted should give a lot of people something to think about today! thanks again! (16 hrs ago | post #10419)
Mormons: We are Christians, too
concerned in Brasil said "The above statement is FALSE Jesus never said any such thing. He always directed us to the Father and never inwardly." In Luke 17:20,21 we read: " 20 Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, 21 nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you." The problem with patriarchal religions such as your Brasil is your worship of the volcano god of the old testament and the focus on the Law of the ancient nation of Israel rather than the "LOVE" that is our birthright. You practice a religion of fear and control. Jesus offered the good news of the discovery of the "Christ" consciousness that we all share. Science is just now beginning to confirm what Jesus and many other mystics all over the earth have been saying for centuries. It is no longer about "belief" it is about accurate knowledge just as Jesus said and you deny. Jesus was a mystic. He was murdered by the Patriarchal Religious Military Industrial Complex of his time and his simple message of LOVE replaced with the lie of a wrathful volcano god that had to be obeyed. This volcano god of course is an anthropomorphism of all of humanities fears and confusion being used by a powerful elite to control and enslave the masses. If you really want to make the planet earth into a paradise it would be good for you to take the time to pray on the matter and get informed as to the situation we are really facing and get involved in what needs to be done. Here is a short text file on a simple and safe method of actively dismantling this insane edifice the Patriarchal Religious Military Industrial Complex or as I like to call it, "The Antichrist" due to it's nature of impersonating Jesus and replacing his message with the insanity of the powermongers who are raping our planet: http://grandpasmur f9520.wordpress.co m/2009/07/06/disma ntling-the-antichr ist/ (18 hrs ago | post #16077)

wolverine said "I Love Science...And Believe That Most Do A Great Job....But Like You....I Dont Buy Everything I Hear " So you pick and chose from science? Do you also pick and chose from the bible? What about your masters in Brooklyn? Do you pick and chose from what they have had revealed to them by the volcano god "Jehovah " what you chose to believe? and what do you base your criteria on when you evaluate everything around you? Do you go inwards in introspection to examine everything in the light of the "Christ" Consciousness that is our birthright? Or do you have implicit trust in the men in Brooklyn? If not could you explain how you arrive at the convictions that lead you to post in contradiction of the posts of others? (19 hrs ago | post #7188)

Devil's Advct said " Grandpasmurf952 wrote: Devils Advct said "Many roads to righteousnes - same goal. " Perhaps, but there is an awful lot of gunfire between roads! It's time to wake up and cast off the chains of the Patriarchal Religious Military Industrial Complex while we still have a planet: http://grandpasmur f9520.wordpress.co m/2009/07... If your referring to a call to end fanatiscism, I'm with you, but don't condemn all who share faith in God. All black people are not violent, all white people are not tyrants, all French are not arrogant....and all Southern Baptists are not gun-toters. Tel us - what do you believe in? and now has that worked for you? " Believe? I am slowly coming to understand that the infinite Cosmos that we all share is a unity. An infinite organic process of which we are all a part. I, myself, am still working on understanding the foundation, but LOVE is obviously expanded into the infinite complexity of life that we apprehend with our limited senses. Join me on the eternal adventure of waking up to this amazing Cosmos, creator of universes: http://grandpasmur f9520.wordpress.co m/2009/06/06/wakin g-up-a-simple-medi tation/ it is all about becoming fully aware of what you already are!
