Former Quad/Graphics building is under contract for purchase

I think everyone should have to work crappy jobs before they find financial success. I think it breeds a better understanding for your employees and just makes you appreciate what you have a bit more.  (Aug 13, 2012 | post #23)

Importing Paper from China

Outsourcing has long been a problem for American workers and it extends to basically every industry imaginable. Yep, the paper will be cheaper, but stateside jobs will suffer as a result. Weigh the pros and cons.  (Aug 6, 2012 | post #25)

Union Printing

I would have to agree. Without going on too much of a political rant.  (Jul 30, 2012 | post #29)

There are often problems with the LED display on this particular machine. I had the same issue among others upon purchasing this model. That is most likely the culprit. It's not too expensive to replace.  (Jul 23, 2012 | post #108)

Ryobi Press Parts

Are you affiliated with Ryobi in any way or is this an independent company? I ask because I have a deal with Ryobi where they cover defects and problems with their machine. If you are affiliated I am protected under my warranty.  (Jul 23, 2012 | post #3)

Cheap Printing Services

Where is this business located? Do they offer a discount to local businesses or are they primarily online?  (Jul 18, 2012 | post #6)

Awesome! I'm glad someone was finally able to get to the bottom of this. I'm curious as to how you got this information, but glad you did.  (Jul 17, 2012 | post #18)

he sensor is located near the roller I believe where the paper feeds in. I'm not sure if it's the same as the machines we use, but these sensors can cause an uneven roll. I wouldn't worry about it, it's probably just an ink matter. Try that first.  (Jul 14, 2012 | post #105)

Ah my mistake, I was under the impression that they had enough work to warrant another building. Albeit one that is in a little better condition.  (Jul 14, 2012 | post #16)

Union Printing

Absolutely true. Unfortunately for many, the unions are becoming nearly as greedy as the corporations they were initially designed to protect. Seems like the cycle of greed never stops.  (Jul 12, 2012 | post #27)

This sounds like a sensor problem or your plates may be getting a bit too inked up. Try cleaning them and checking your sensor heads. This usually solves these types of problems.  (Jul 12, 2012 | post #102)

Have to agree that RRD wouldn't go for such a building, and it's really anybody's guess what it will become. It's not as if quad graphics buildings can only be used for large format printing. Would be cool if RRD did happen to move in there though.  (Jul 12, 2012 | post #14)

Pantone Colors

Thanks! This is actually incredibly useful as it's usually something that people have to guess on. I know a lot of customers who will find this much better than simply guessing.  (Jul 12, 2012 | post #2)

Ryobi 3302

It sounds mechanical, but it could be as simple as a plate inking up as stated earlier. Some presses come with a manual that lists error codes while some are a bit more tricky to decipher. You might want to contact the Ryobi vendor if it becomes difficult to decipher the error code. Good luck!  (Jul 12, 2012 | post #36)
