GOOOH ELP Profile
Maybe I am not clear, but I think the states who will have rail should pay - not all the others. Secondly, we don't have the jobs for people to utillize the rails and third - we don't have the money to do this! Is this the only way to put people to work - by spending money we don't have? Why are'nt more people upset that GM owes us 8 million yet spent 5 million for the super bowl add? Wouldn't you business owners out there like to do that? Advertising brings consumers, but could you get away with not paying your loans and instead run expensive adds? (Feb 13, 2011 | post #5)
Great CUT and PASTE job, but where did you get this from? I don't believe the Liberal Media, so share who did this "research " and remeber to consider the source. (Feb 12, 2011 | post #8)
You don't have your facts straight. You obviously have been listening to the wrong people - like those who still believe that we need to invest in green energy. Al gore is a joke, and you obviously aren't in Texas or you would know we have more than we need to supply gas and oil for many hundreds of years. China can drill and we can't? This is breaking the backs of America and we need to drill baby drill and now! I don't know what your agenda is, but without jobs, people don't need a rail system. (Feb 10, 2011 | post #121)
Be afraid - VERY AFRAID! Take action and urge your lawmaker's to repeal the "Patriot Act". (Feb 9, 2011 | post #2)
Why don't we instead use that money to give Americans tax breaks across the board, and ONLY when we can afford it, then invest in high speed rail system? Could it be we don't have the money? I wonder if he manages his personal bank account the same way he does our National debt? Just because you have checks in your checkbook doesn't mean you have the money in the bank, right? The arguement "we need them" to work our farms is true, but let's return to the days when we bused them in daily or for a season to work and then they went back to MX. This way, its a win win for all. Does anyone out there know why we stopped that practice? (Feb 8, 2011 | post #8)
It's worse than we think - read this; ?Huge spike in illegal Indian traffic to US via Mexico 7 Feb, 2011 0338hrs IST TNN?[ Chidanand Rajghatta ] WASHINGTON: Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of Indians are sneaking into the United States across the Mexico border in what American authorities are saying is a sudden and unexpected spike in illegal immigration from a country half way across the world which is said to be in the throes of an economic boom. More than 1,600 Indians have been caught since the influx began in early 2010, while an undetermined number, perhaps thousands, are believed to have slipped through undetected, according to US border authorities cited in an account by the Center for Investigative Reporting and published by the Los Angeles Times on Sunday. The report said Indians are now the largest group of immigrants other than Latin Americans being caught at the Southwest border. The influx reportedly is showing signs of accelerating: About 650 Indians were arrested in southern Texas in the last three months of 2010 alone. The Indians are said to be flying into Latin American and Central American countries such as Equador, Venezuela and Guatemala via Dubai before arriving on the Mexico-US border, where they cross the Rio Grande River and hole up in US border towns, where they are usually helped by fellow Indians. Mexican organized crime groups are also suspected of being involved either in running the operations or in charging groups tolls to pass through their territory. According to thy, claim to be from the Punjab or Many of them are "Sikhs who say they face religious persecution, or members of the Bharatiya Janata Party who say they are targeted for beatings by members of the National Congress Party," the rport said, while citing experts who maintained that political conditions in India offered no evidence of the kind of persecution that would prompt a mass exodus. The immigration, they said, is clearly driven by economic opportunities. officials say the migration is the "most significant" hu 2009, the Border Patrol arrested only 99 Indians along the entire Southwest border. "It's a dramatic increase. We do want to monitor these pipelines and shut them down because it is a vulnerability. They could either knowingly or unknowingly smuggle people into the U.S. that pose a national security threat," Kumar Kibble, deputy director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), was quoted as saying. The CIR/LA Times report said in January, immigration court calendars at the area's two main detention facilities were full of the common Indian surnames Patel and Singh, and attorneys and judges struggled to keep up. Some attorneys had failed to file the necessary forms; interpreters were not always available. One judge more immigration judges would soon be assigned to handle the increased workload. The report said it is not clear how many Indians have been granted asylum or deported; immigration officials did not provide that information. But it said judges and attorneys appear to be toughening up, bond amounts have risen sharply in recent months, and attorneys say asylum claims are increasingly being rejected. (Feb 7, 2011 | post #2)
Hello Estradam, here is the link to the El Paso Times Report that was on the front page: http://www.elpasot imes.com/business/ ci_16605474 Share your thoughts please. Ask around. The few aquaintances of mine who were approached to join, refused because they wanted to meet at Paco Wongs. But other than that, they refuse to tell me more. (Dec 16, 2010 | post #18)

See page 27 of 29. People who identify their origin to be of Hispanic, Latino or Spanish may be of any race - so as I stated - I mis-spoke. http://2010.census .gov/partners/pdf/ langfiles/qrb_Engl ish.pdf So, you too believe we have KKK here? Geez. Why does Joe fear them if the KKK is fearful? Fearful of what? We are all first Americans and if something happened to our region, we would stop this nonsense and help one another no matter where we live or what color of the skin! This 'La Red Party' do not care about El Paso, except to make a living here and bring their children here, and use both countries to benefit, while we pay the price. Let's get back to the subject please. (Dec 16, 2010 | post #15)
Thank you Marcos, I will post the story when I re-locate it. I posted it on FB but for some reason, FB is having some issues. (Dec 16, 2010 | post #14)
You are correct, Louie, in that I forget how the census classifies people and mis-spoke,but I think you know what I meant. I am no bigot that is for sure. Because I am from El Paso, I forget I am not Hispanic, because I truthfully embrace and love the culture. In fact, its a non-issue for me, and I forget I have freckles and blue eyes till I am treated differently. My children and grandchildren are Anglo/Hispanic blend. To date, I have yet to see the KKK marching down the street burning crosses in yards and spreading hate towards African Americans, so I don't know where Joe gets that idea - so tell me what he means, because I think he is saying he is afraid of the white people. So he brought that up not I. So, since you defend Joe and Rose - what is it they are saying by bringing up KKK, White Supremacists and insisting they are here in El Paso? The topic was who are the La Red Party, in case you forgot. (Dec 16, 2010 | post #12)

I Believe In:
Replacing the 435 Members of Congress and replacing them wuth true citizen representatives using the New Plan and Process of GOOOH. I believe El Paso has intelligent, hard working individuals who would make a great Congressman, yet those in Washington think we are dumb and ill-informed. Hop into the new vehicle GOOOH has to select OUR next Congressman - one who will be held accountable, who will serve two terms only, and will not take special interest money, and will be chosen by YOU EL Pasoan's, so I guarantee that 100% of you will be happy with your representative - whether he be Democrat or Republican - white, black, hispanic or chinese - you will choose the person based on his character, not because one of the two parties said that's what you have to vote for. I believe El Paso is capable of thinking outside of the box,and not continue being mislead to think Politicians care for the Hispanics and then once they get into office, do the opposite. I think they are tired of being used for votes, but I also agree with this famous Chines proverb which claims, "If they do not change our direction, we are likely to end up where we are headed."
