Hagerstown Good Humor-Breyers plant could close

Sikes and Hends, Today was our first day of our new Unilever One code date system. All went well and didn't have any issues with it. It actually will be better for us, less work on the QA, are you guys being integrated with it also? I am concerned that we were told in January, you only produce what we need from each line, then we shut it down, or change over, if we don't get the quota then we have to work on Saturdays to make it up. Well, now it is we just keep running for the whole week, pumping out products like we used to do...and sending alot of our products to Cold Storage places out in Sikeston and Henderson... why? Freezer guy told me that is where he is shipping around 25 Trucks per day. Gotta wonder what Unilever is planning?  (May 4, 2009 | post #133)

The supervisor that you are talking about, was that Stella? I met her once at Green Bay, she emailed and told me she quit not long ago. We were in GB on that Team of Year thing.  (May 4, 2009 | post #130)

So who are you Unilever? I never heard of Jeffersonville, OH...what plant is that close to? I think our plant manager, Ken Wells was there also...he was out of the plant last week for meetings.  (May 3, 2009 | post #120)

They told us that the camera's were put up for our safety, all thru the parking lot. We have one of the Lobby so when someone that is a non- employee wants in, supervisors down stairs can see who is there and hit the buzzer to let them in. Of course the one by the time clocks is the one that caught some of the guys clocking each other in and out when they weren't even in the plant...I guess that is why the Thumb scan will be tested at your plant and if sucessful, will be put into ours. Thank goodness there is none in the restrooms...lol.  (Apr 29, 2009 | post #99)

I talked to a temp today, she said they haven't had any issues with Sperhion on getting paid, she said that they never charged her anything for calling them...thought maybe it was just the branch out there that was doing that...or could be the way the contract is written up at that branch. It happens...may be the same organization or franchise, but each is run differently...just like our plants are ran differently...I guess.  (Apr 29, 2009 | post #96)
