Evolution Debate

So a worm knows what makes you itch

Thanks for your replies, mostly known by me but thanks anyway. Mr science student where you state, "instead, when the flower itself was created," It was here that I am referring to. The beginning of creation if you like. I do not subscribe to neo-Darwinism. At some point whether it was an atom, electron or a unicellular animal it must have a program in it's DNA. Who put it there, I do not care but with all life it seems abundantly clear to me that it in itself has a self perpetuating{ through offspring} program running. It is altered as time progresses with different combinations of dna through natural selection I am sure but even this is not infinite as we have mapped the geno. Maybe the new super computers can give us all the possible combinations. My only logical answer to this is that at some time of which we have all forgotten, we needed to create or have created more than was available at the time. If you stretch your thinking to the possibility that at one point in the past, maybe before the so called big bang, that a place without time, matter, or space existed. I know science especially physics states that no 2 objects can posses the same place at the same time BUT I know I am more than just a human, a bio mechanical machine, I close my eyes, form a picture of something and then observe it. As I am not using my eyes I, myself am looking at this self created object, therefore I am more than the body. So maybe we all are and we all were around in the dark twiddling our non existent thumbs wondering what to do. We then decided to create with pure energy from thought a couple of objects, thus not only creating matter but because there are two objects created there is also space created, separating the two objects, thus time is automatically created as with distance between the two objects there must be time created to travel between them. I therefore suggest that all matter was originally thought up and individually created at once not over millions of years, all we have today is the combinations of those original creations.  (Aug 30, 2007 | post #6)

Evolution Debate

So a worm knows what makes you itch

Evolution, I have a real problem with this. Not to say that certain evolutionary changes do not happen to all species here on earth with the passing of time but, and this is a big but. How does evolution end at the present with a flower having a particular color to attract specific insects for its' perpetuation when I know flowers do not have brains so how would evolution allowed a flower to see that it needed to change to a certain color for survival? If it started originally the wrong color it's species would have died out without time to change to the correct color. So a worm knows what makes you itch? I say a television program on this the other night. As it goes a worm that gets itself embeded in one's intestine will exit at night and lay it's eggs on ones' anus, (yuk), anyway these eggs make one itch during ones sleep and the next day the eggs manage to get from ones fingers to ones mouth,(yuk again) then the worms cycle completes. So how can any worm KNOW that its eggs would make one itch then KNOW one would eventually swallow these eggs to continue its survival. Evolution, I think not. If there is a God then no more discussion is needed. But if not, well maybe all living life is basically bio-mechanically produced with imprinted response code in the DNA which was placed, well a long time ago by, well, who knows who by. Previous knowledge and the ability to try to change would be a pre-requisite for evolution I would have thought. What do you think about my comments?  (Aug 29, 2007 | post #1)

Bird Watching

The Pionus Parrot Family

The Pionus Parrot family includes eight different species. All eight have a similar shape and build. They have a shape similar to the Amazon family, stocky with a short square tail. The various species have different coloring except that all have a red color beneath the tail. Every type of Pionus Parrot has a dazzling color array. http://www.pethear tprints.com/Parrot /pionus_parrot.htm l  (Aug 29, 2007 | post #1)

Why an African Parrot Makes a Great Pet

From time immemorial, the African parrot has been considered as a hot favorite the world over as a pet. Initially these parrots were caught in the African forests; but then after the species had dwindled to a handful of the birds, ingenious people in Africa started their business rearing them like we would the sheep, specifically for selling to people from all over the world. http://www.pethear tprints.com/Parrot /african_parrot.ht ml  (Aug 29, 2007 | post #1)

The Horse

Horses are amazing animals; they have been with humans since the very beginning helping and assisting in survival as well as for entertainment purposes. Horses have been used for transportation of man and goods, at work places in the police force, in sports for entertainment and even for food. It is easy to see why some love horses; they are intelligent and capable of great loyalty and dedication. If you decided to get your first horse the best people to approach would be the horse breeders. http://www.pethear tprints.com./Horse /horse_breeders.ht ml  (Aug 29, 2007 | post #1)

Photography

Black And White Wedding Photography Still Popular

Since color photography came to life many years ago, and prices fell to levels that made it affordable, the art of black and white wedding photography has faded to near extinction. There are, however many people who appreciate the appeal and look of black and white wedding photography and request a sampling of pictures in black and white. http://www.prodigi pic.com/black_and_ white_wedding_phot ography.html With the use of digital photography, obtaining black and white pictures from the same frames is considerably easier than with film and the prints are typically of the same high quality than if they had been taken with film. Although black and white wedding photography could produce black and white prints from color negatives, the sharpness and contrast was not quite as clear as when black and white film was used. http://www.prodigi pic.com  (Aug 29, 2007 | post #1)
