i grew up on mudfork. alot of people have farm animals. why is fair to let your unleashed dogs kill and harass the farm animals? i know personally my dad would warn neighbors, keep ya dogs up...his animals have been ruthlessly killed by poodles, collies etc., so why is it wrong to kill the dog who did the killing? She calls me her second mother... she is a very hard worker and has a great personality and one of the prettiest girls I know... if she weren't pregnant and you someone had an issue with her I'm quite sure she would handle her own business on this site but since she is about to be a mother to add to her list of good qualities, I feel 100% sure that if anyone has a problem with her me and Ashleys Mom got this ! I've known mark and his whole family since I was a little girl he is a good man someone may take an a** whippin from him for having his name in their mouth - but oh well there are haters everywhere! As for me I think he is a great guy! (Jun 1, 2011 | post #5)
Things were run great when big Jim was able to. - he is a great guy. His heart was always 100% into that market. I think his youngest son is running things around there now haven't been to the actual market in years. Hopefully it will get better ! (May 13, 2011 | post #9)
thanks for your ever so miniscule opinion. I work full time 40 hours a week plus some I have a farm I run when I get off my job and I go school full time with a 3.5 gpai have been incarcerated and know full well what I'm talking bout. Its not a soapbox I'm on its called a give a damn. I give a damn about the county I was raised in and my family live in. I give a damn about the people who want to make a difference in their life and deserve a second chance after addictions or making mistakes life can bring. And furthermore I give a damn about the recidivism rate in the state of Va (google it cause I'm sure you'd have no clue what I am referring to) -and how much taxes I pay so strung out dopeheads can mooch of the system and keep getting away with it till they overdose and the state gotta pay again to bury their ass in a cheap pine box. So don't worry bout what I do with my time maybe you need to worry about you. (May 13, 2011 | post #23)
my parents were receiving phone calls all times of the day and night asking for various drugs and their prices this went on and on till they called Boyd to complain. They even went as far 2 reverse number search the number found out who it was-it was their neighbor bout a mile up the road who was very well known as supplying whatever you wanted from weed to morphine to oxys he said he would handle it - hmmmm the phone calls stopped cold turkey after that day. The cars still come and go from the drug dealers house and they are still widely known for the drugs and availability - just find it odd no arrests no phone taps to see who was calling or nothing. This was over a year ago. Just sounds fishy. I think drugs have already corrupted so many people in Tazewell I hope its not too late to stop it. I for one, would not want to raise my children there. Did notice they let a full grown horse who had just came out of pacing class show immediately after in pleaure ponies??? Does louie and anna ray still run this one or is it someone else? (May 11, 2011 | post #5)
Yep the idiot joked about running out of the road to hit it (May 10, 2011 | post #6)
If chris boyd ran for and was elected the drug problem would get worse the voting population would decrease due to increase in overdose rates. (May 10, 2011 | post #135)
I guess everyone has opinions - like belly buttons for a lack of better words... as I am also entitled to mine. I am sure Rasnick will be able to run a perfectly sound campaign wherever he is working. He has a lot of family and friends supporting his campaign - more than most people obviously think. He has just as good of a chance as the rest. It amazes me how people are more worried about his past financial business ventures than his extensive education and various law enforcement/corrections experience which I am sure he is adding to by taking a job in corrections 5 hours away. He has performed many jobs in local law enforcement as well as local and state corrections including supervisory roles in both. He has taught corrections classes as well as been a DARE instructor. It is sad that His business of which he had many satisfied customers, myself one, did not succeed-obviously there was a reason it was up for sale when he purchased it - not to mention employees and customers that stole and didn't pay - such as life - we win some we lose some. But with an 8 million dollar budget, his education, experience and most importantly his stand on the drug problem the county has He can do it - not a doubt in my mind! I guess like opinions every one slings mud and likes to badmouth someone else but the bad part about is karma is a b*tch and in this life and Tazewell county anything is possible so what you say today may be said about yourself tomorrow. I'm sorry maybe I didn't. Say what I meant or something right I, too, have been in jail and done my time got off probation been on one job for 3 years and am going to college so I can help ex offenders. Like you I have definately used jail as a learning experience and have learned from my mistakes. I am very proud of you too for doing the same! It just seems some of us get the harshest treatment and the most strict rules while others slide by every single time and keep on and on and in this case now yet another life has been taken. I have family that was on felony probation and was still allowed to have pain meds and get a check every month and she still works under the table aside from selling what she don't snort. I wish the system would really help people and work a little harder to stop the drugs in Tazewell. I come to visit my parents and watch drug deals happen all the time throughout their community and its evident to everyone in the community who sells what but years go by people I grew up with dead from overdose and the sellers still selling. Sometimes I really think the law knows and is in on it. It doesn't make sense. But congrats to you! Overcoming a drug problem is a hard thing to do and is commendable - maybe the help lies in the person not the system??? (May 10, 2011 | post #20)
This is just another sad occurence of a nice little country town like Tazewell being corrupted worse than urban areas by drugs. It is obvious that the whole system is corrupt! How many people Wards and Harmans age have prescriptions for high powered pain meds? Who is wrting these prescriptions and if these people are on probation why aren't they being forced to work their 40 hours a week? Most convited druggies in Tazewell are on disability and have an excuse with their p.o. to have percocets, tylox, loritabs and even Oxys! So they get a check and sell bout half the pills they don't use to stay messed up! Then you got mamaw round the corner selling her pain pills - has anyone ever been through Mudfork Bisho or Stoney Ridge lately? Wonder how many people in those areas get a legit paycheck? And wonder how many got a scrip for pain pills? It doent take a genius to figure this *hit out! (May 9, 2011 | post #18)
Yep chad harman has been a nuisance to tazewell since I graduated with him and I think he should be tried for murder the same as if he supplied and killed someone on the street. I think it would be hard to hold jail at fault due to lack of details like how Harman got the drugs in - we all know the basic ways which are not always obvious during search and intake. Anyone who has ever ever been incarcerated should know smuggling of drugs and other contraband is quite normal and the ways that it is done may not be known to the average person. Sometimes the common squat cough and spread your cheeks just not gonna find the ways some people get things in. Unless the intake officer did a cavity search he wasn't gonna find it on Harman I bet u that! (May 9, 2011 | post #17)
