Well you are generalizing yourself. I didn't have a cozy upbringing. I was raised by a hard working single mother that ran her own hair salon. She remarried when I was in third grade. Then when my dad retired they moved me up to the middle of no where. She started really drinking heavily and I don't have a good relationship. Since I was around 12 I took care of myself. Made my own food, walked a mile to and from the bus stop, taught myself on my own. If I had a question about school work, I figured it out on my own, she wasn't around to help. I know what it's like to be hard working, and have to work for everything you have. I worked two full time jobs so I could pay to go to college full time. I'm just saying that everything should be done LEGALLY. There are too many people with their hands out wanting what they don't deserve!! (Jul 30, 2008 | post #15181)

It's not that was are selfish to proliferate, its that we are responsible enough to do it when we know the time is right. Yes, there shouldn't be generations of families living off of welfare. People that get help, should be offered insentives to get off welfare. There are too many illegals taking what it's rightfully theirs. They shouldn't be able to get social security or unemployment. I think the government needs to really improve their system. You said it yourself. Vote them out. I agree with you, they say one thing but do another. It upsets me when people just sit there on their rear end and do nothing. They complain about the government leaders but they don't do anything about it. Those are the people that don't vote or don't take a true stand on the issue. Yes this is what happens. But US as TAX PAYERS are the ones that pay these bills that they rack up. Food stamps, medicaide, and jails are all funded by tax money, which all the legal people pay. Well, when you are an adult, you should help your father pass the test. I know it's a long process, but it's legal. If you are so smart then you should be able to help your father study.
