Bing is a Terrible Search Engine

I have a couple Win10 PC's and Chrome works just fine, thank you. Firefox also. "It didn't work" because you don't know what you're doing. First, download the latest Chrome install file. Download it to your desktop so you won't loose it. Now UNINSTALL Chrome. then reinstall Chrome with the file. MANUALLY go to Google.com. Go into Chrome settings to make "Current page" your home page. Everytime you start Chrome, Google should come up. Thank You.  (Saturday Sep 16 | post #28)

Bing is a Terrible Search Engine

Not very good with computers, are you? Uninstall Chrome and then reinstall it. Then go to the main Google page; then go to options and click "Home page, use current page". After that the Chrome browser should open with Google as your home page. Your Welcome  (Aug 13, 2017 | post #17)

Chevrolet Volt

Chevy Volt leapfrogs Toyota's Prius

So talking about Volts on a Volts messageboard is elitism? Why don't you guys just go to your Ford F150 MB?  (Aug 13, 2017 | post #13756)

Smitty, just some ideas. At the least you need to pull that head (are #3 and 5 on the same side?). I have a boat with a Ford 351W. Had no comp. on one cylinder, pulled head and found one exhaust valve would not close fully. If you're lucky it would just be a valve problem and a re-manufactured head would solve your problem. If it's further down in the engine you'll probably be pulling the engine out.  (Aug 4, 2017 | post #2)

Chevy Volt leapfrogs Toyota's Prius

Just in case you guys really want to learn about the Volt (ha ha), ok to everybody else who wants to live in the 21st century: The first year Volts (2011) could go about 30+ miles on a charged battery. Chevy kept improving that range; and now with my 2017 I can go 60+ miles on the battery, at which time the 8.9 gallon tank will take me another 350+ miles. Ok trolls, back to you!  (Aug 4, 2017 | post #13750)

GM's next electric in 2019?

Solarman: "The sky is falling, the sky is falling"! I have a 2017 Chevy Volt with adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. Not autonomous but still impressive.  (Aug 4, 2017 | post #2)

>>>Aug 6, a cyclist was killed on 664<<< The word "cyclist " is for bicycles only. A motorcycle rider might be referred to as a "biker". Topix trollers, continue.  (Jul 5, 2017 | post #29)

Cabin air filter leak???

Well Daniel, this is a Topix page for Chevy Monte Carlos. You might look for a Nissan Topix page. If there isn't one just search for messageboards/forums for Nissans.  (Jun 24, 2017 | post #44)

So DOT, FAA & Congress are going allow AA to shrink seats???

Alik: If it is a chip key problem you would get the red security light on the dash. I had to repair/replace my chip key system a couple of years ago. One of the skinny wires from the ignition switch to the main harness had broke. I disagree with an earlier poster, the Montes from 1995 to 1999 were more reliable than the 2000 and up models. I still own my '99. Been a pretty good car. (Just bought it's replacement, a 2017 Chevy Volt!)  (May 23, 2017 | post #22)

China's Buick Velite 5 is a Volt with a nose job

A minor typo in the article. "It's the largest market in the country", he meant "World". I own a 2017 Volt, had it just 4 months and used almost NO gas. Very impressed so far!  (Apr 27, 2017 | post #2)

2006 Monte carlo 3.9L dropped valve seat

That shows how things are just the luck of the draw. I didn't even know Chevy had a 3.9 v6? I do know my 3.8 v6 is pretty bulletproof. My engine did have the weak design plastic intake manifold and poor gasket. You found out when you started losing coolant. If you procrastinated too long you'd trash your engine. 3 or 4 years ago I pulled out the upper and lower intake manifold and used super upgraded gaskets. It's been great since; now has 227,000 miles on er!  (Feb 14, 2017 | post #6)
