Area Police Get Grants to Crack Down on Seat Belt Violators
The funds should go towards programs to educate teen drivers on vehicle safety. Yes, we do have programs already available, but it's necessary to continue them. Also, funds should be used to educate parents on the dangers of letting their teens roam the streets past curfew time. (Wednesday Nov 18 | post #2)
As we approach this holiday season, we ask that consumers patronize their local "mom and pop" businesses. Major retail outlets have the budget to advertise in print, radio and television across the nation, however, small businesses do not have that same luxury. Small business owners will appreciate your business this holiday season. One Stop General Merchandisers (Nov 9, 2009 | post #1)
Guess Who Came to the Palin Rally? - The Daily Beast
Survey 1. Should all political parties denounce hate groups within their own parties or do you feel it's political suicide if they do? 2. Do conservative talk radio influence your decisions in this presidential race or have very little impact? 3. Do smears hurt or help political candidates? (Oct 30, 2008 | post #1)

La Jolla attorney sentenced in $4.5 million wire fraud

Talk radio is on the decline. The current crop of talk show hosts are not as entertaining. Dennis Miller has a show on another AM station. Boy, it is bad. Sean Hannity is too repetitive. All you hear is Hilliary, Hilliary and more Hilliary. Even conservatives are turning him off. Roger Hedgecock has his moments. Some days his topics are interesting, and other days it's boring. He is going national in a month. Michael Savage is on the verge of a nervous breakdown. His up and down mood swings are costing him listeners. I don't think he will last long on radio, given his mental state. John and Ken of KFI AM in Los Angeles have been on the air for over a decade. They chose hot button topics that keep listeners interested. Rick Roberts is not of afraid of voicing his opinions. He's blunt and to the point. Listeners like that. He has a shot of becoming the next talk show host of going national. Talk radio is a numbers game. The market will decide who is successful or a failure. (Sep 19, 2007 | post #8)
Should tax payers pay for a new stadium for the San Diego Chargers?
As you all know, the San Diego Chargers want a new stadium. There are two cities vying to bring the Chargers to their town: Chula Vista and Oceanside. San Diego wants the Chargers to remain in their city, but Chargers officials have nixed the idea because of previous talks with city officials. Do you think tax-payers should fund the stadium? Or do you believe the team's owners should foot the bill? (Sep 18, 2007 | post #1)
