Thanks Caring ! Good to hear from you. No hearings at all since the last one where Judge Amanda Lewis ordered that the defense team be provided with an additional investigator for them.  (May 19, 2011 | post #674)

I share your frustration "life is tuff" A month or more ago I wrote a kind of pissy note (No - I was polite but as usual a little overly opinionated) to Jacksonville.com about their featuring Guy's little brother so prominently and using his photo in their (not a little local paper) exploitative and very low life story. I'm sure I said it more delicately. It's late and my mind is fuzzy. I just thought they were picking on a kid who is having a hard enough time already. Interesting response from the writer at Jacksonville.com (Teresa Stepzinski )who responded to my sentence about my thinking that the trial probably being later this year with - she did not think the trial would be as early as this year. Not a "fact" but I would trust her opinion or guess a)s the main crime writer for the region) much more than mine. Didn't the judge say she really wanted to bring this to trial as soon as possible? Given that she knows how complicated it may be. __________________ "I had the right to remain silent, but I didn't have the ability"  (May 19, 2011 | post #672)

Interesting article Sunshine. I hadn't noticed that before. I suppose it could have been any one's birthday. They were quoting Kimberly Hutchenson a cousin of the Toler family. A large and extended family with friends. I can't see any of the family wanting to go to New Hope for a party even if the friend lived there. Just way too soon (The story is dated 9-01-09 ? and the murders were August 29, 2009?) Maybe I misunderstood the dates?  (Apr 13, 2011 | post #664)

No court date yet Lori. If you are interested in information about the case there are very good links posted by folks throughout this 32 page thread or just do a google search for Guy Heinze.  (Apr 5, 2011 | post #656)

The US population has definitely shifting south for some time. I'd like to myself (family and roots keep me here) Georgia is a big place. I'd like to see all of it. Yes, Tyler may live a happier life somewhere else after this is all over. That's going to be a long time form now in my opinion. After all Georgia is is home. Even young roots can run deep. Until then all I can do is include the entire family in my prayers and leave them in what peace they can find.  (Apr 1, 2011 | post #644)

Thanks very much "glynnresiden t" strange but true I got my first idea of how historic the area was from the first news stories about New Hope Plantation (1763 the sign says). I noticed the huge old trees there ( all trailer parks I have seen are in very undesirable locations) Why all the interest in big old trees? There is virtually nor old growth forest left in New England. Most cleared as farm land 100 years or more ago, Occasionally the farms would leave one maple or oak in the corner of a pasture to give his livestock shade. Also the old graveyards here have great old trees. Georgia looks like it didn't go that rout and is part of why I think it is so beautiful. Your mild weather is a big plus too ((Smile)). (The fireworks story I got from a local news story - glad it's not true) The Fourth is one of my favorite Holidays.  (Mar 31, 2011 | post #638)

For those who say this was a legitimate local story to run and shows "No special treatment" (The Brunswick News) I read the story in The Florida Times Union. With daily circulation of 108,926, Florida Times-Union is one of the largest circulation newspapers in the USA. Learn more at Mondo Newspapers, the worldwide newspaper directory. C'mon It simply wasn't that big a story to run his photo too.  (Mar 31, 2011 | post #637)

I agree Brunswick Native. I don't think it was a national story. True, my own home town paper was similar and printed the school lunch menus among other things. No photos of anyone under 18 as that is the state's "age of Majority". Not for nothing but I didn't read this in The Brunswick News I read it in The Florida Times Union which also owns it's online version which is Jacksonville.com "The Florida Times-Union is a leading provider of news and information for readers and advertisers in north Florida and south Georgia. The broadsheet is widely known as the oldest newspaper in the state. It began publishing as the Florida Times in 1864. Thanks Caring. I hate NYC too. What I do like is that beautiful Georgia country, old old oak trees and Spanish moss. I would like to visit the islands too but I hear the residents consider them "exclusive " - cancelled the Fourth of July Fireworks to keep folks off the island. They are part of Georgia - they must have a public beach. maybe a nice bed and breakfast....?  (Mar 30, 2011 | post #633)
