Stop Artificial Eruptions in Southern Japan.

I am not sure whether there is such artificial eruption in this world. But this story really fit Japanese way of thinking; removing/manipulat ing anything that doesn't suit their imagination about something. Let me give you some examples other than that story. It is well known that in Japan you cannot become too stupid neither too smart. If you too stupid, you will be bullied. If you too smart you will be bullied also (but the situation is much better for the smart, they can pretend a little bit stupid). The same condition also apply if you are ugly or too beautiful (especially for women). These two examples just describe how Japanese hates different things or things that don't fit. It happens that in the above case, Mt. Sakurajima doesn't fit Japanese people imagination. The Mt. Fuji should be the single most beautiful mountain in Japan. If there is another beautiful mountain that probably more beautiful than Mt. Fuji, it will become big problem, it will become burden for Japanese. So problematic so that every normal Japanese will feel very uncomfortable and will do anything to destroy the things that make them feel that way. This is the dark secret of bullying in Japan. And can easily be utilized to explain the artificial eruption in Mt. Sakurajima.  (9 hrs ago | post #2)

The other things to consider if you want to work at Japan is the cost. When you get a job in Japan while you are not in Japan, you must buy air ticket which is not always provided by the company (in the case of nurse, if I am not mistaken there is no problem here, they provide you with free air ticket). Next thing is to rent an apartment. In Japan the first installment can cost you about 4 to 6-month the cost of monthly rent (if you are lucky enough it will be only 2-month). Usually there is no furniture in the room, you need to buy your own furnitures. And there is also some cases where the salaries paid in the end of second month. In other words, the first two-month is the trial period, they can kick you out if they are not satisfied with you (not necessarily with your performance, it can also with your attitude, appearance, social skill, culture understanding, etc). Then if you are thinking about long term employment, Japanese companies usually do not promote their foreigner workers. They don't have to discriminate you to do this. They have very good and legal test for promotion written all in Japanese which guarantees that only super smart foreigners can pass the tests. The tests are very difficult even for Japanese. You have to read many thick books (1000+ pages) all in Japanese to prepare for the tests. And of course you have to prepare for the tests while working (and probably including overtime). For nurses if I am not mistaken, to renew your work permit there is test written all in Japanese after the first three-year. Don't push your logic into Japanese. I have said that common senses and logic simply don't work for them. It is the group who decides what is right and what is wrong. Man, that's Japanese style of kicking you out of your work and life, doing unbearable bullying until you decide to take revenge or kill yourself. That's happened all the time everywhere, not necessary because you're foreigner, rather because you are not in a group. If you're alone, you'll be kicked out from the society, no matter how good personality you have. That's why be in a group if you are in Japan. The bad things, the good things, all are decided within the group, not by using common senses or laws. Why are Japanese Racist?

What are talking about? The first time in Japan I got many racist treatments. Almost unbearable. But because of that I do self-introspection and change into a new person. Now, besides the fact that many car drivers want to hit me on the street (No it is not because racist, I got military training for 4 years, and my presence alone makes many men feels intimidated, so it is only natural if they react in that way), I am free of any racist treatment. But because of that, I got the feeling of why Japanese hates Westerners, or Chinese or other foreigners in their country. It is simply because these new foreigners don't know how to behave properly. You dress uglily, speak uglily, walk uglily, and your body languages are also ugly. That's why Japanese hates you. It is perhaps more delicate and deep than simply racist. But, no matter happened no one will stab you on the back like in USA recently. The data for Japan is accurate actually. If you watch Japanese TV routinely, you will know that the fertility rate per woman is about 1.2. That's why now Japanese companies are forced by the new government to adopt special policy to encourage women to have children while working, including 4-month leave with full payment, the same career opportunities for men and women and the reduction of work hours. And it is not only for nurse. Almost all jobs in Japan for foreigners give you very low salaries with almost no future career path. And it is hard to tell when the system will change in near future, and if it changes, Japan won't be a rich country anymore. The position will be replace by other countries like China, India, etc. The best thing to do if you want to work in Japan is to educate yourself. Learn good things from Japanese companies/institut ions, then after 3-5 years you can either go back to your home country creating some business using your skills or apply jobs in other countries (including your country).  (Sunday Dec 13 | post #204)

The salaries are too low, the treatments are not good, and you cannot get permanent position. They will send you home after certain period and take other new nurses to replace you. I am not really surprising. There are many physical traits and social behaviors similarity between South East Asian and East Asian, especially between Malay and Chinese (south and central). Apparently the biggest physical trait differences are between Malay and North Asian including Korean, Mongol, some Japanese, Manchurian, and North Chinese. And if I am not mistaken, the North Asians are genetically much similar to European than to East Asian. The easiest way to notice the North Asians is by looking at their facial feature. Their faces are not flat, and sometimes resemble European (except for eyes and color). Not to mention the Northest Asian, the Ainu of Japan. Japanese Often Rude to Gaijin

I like your speech. And please forgive me for the harsh critics I did. The most problematic habit of Japanese in my place is they are like to disturb other people. In library where you should read silently, I always find that if there are some guys try to concentrate on their reading, other Japanese will come closer and make noisy sound like pretending to cough, kicking the table, make loud noise with newspapers, etc. And the most strange thing is: the ones who get disturbed are not necessarily the ones who are angry, rather the trouble makers are the ones with very emotional faces. The second most problematic with Japanese in my place is the car drivers. When you ride bicycle or just passing through the road (green sign of course), and if you are foreigners, it is likely (in my case it is very likely if I dress and behave like martial artist :>) some random cars will move toward you with intention to hit you. Oh yes they didn't actually do it. They just show off that they have the ability to hit you. So for you foreigners, just bring your camera with you when you go out. Take pictures of all cars that try to hit you and send me the pictures if you wish. I will make a blog about this phenomena. I myself have already had some picture of the cars and have intention to publish it in a blog. Of course you can create your own blog about it. Japan Shyest Country In The World

This is the better way in describing Japanese. Shyness itself is a stupid word to describe Japanese. I found Japanese is not shy at all. They lie without shame, make fool other people, bullying a kid with their group together, do corruption without shame, do sexual harrassment in public, etc. As an individual, each Japanese is coward. If you meet a single Japanese, you can do anything to him. Only when they together they will do every possible bad things without guilty.
