nikiski monofill permit in the heart of the community!

To all whom it may concern, this is happening in the small Alaskan community of Nikiski, North Kenai. 1/2 mile from high school, main water supply and numerous residences!! The story was aired on Aug 1st. on Channel 13. YouTube video of it: http://www.youtube .com/watch?v=AHW7w 5O1D_Q&feature =youtu.be Please note that all through the documentation it states that ADEC did not properly asses the site according to their own words. No one was even assigned this from 1979 to 1982, then also from 1986 to 1992 according their own documentation. Please note that the said plume was never properly assessed and that only one test well was drilled according to the ADEC documents. Now ADEC is considering a permit to AIMM Technologies, to place an open drilling waste monofill next to the already contaminated, not assessed for 27 years site! Here are links to the newspaper stories that are out. http://peninsulacl arion.com/news/201 2-07-19/nikiski-mo nofill-questioned http://peninsulacl arion.com/opinion/ 2012-07-13/more-an swers-on-drilling- waste-site-needed http://peninsulacl arion.com/news/201 2-07-10/aimm-techn ologies-schedules- meeting-for-waste- site http://peninsulacl arion.com/news/201 2-07-07/nikiski-re sidents-oppose-dri lling-waste-site Thank you!
