Being gay is not a choice. What if it were?
Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul iwht all thy strength. This is the first and Great Commandment. And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." This is what I use as my guide. That is my Christianity. (10 hrs ago | post #3961)
Being gay is not a choice. What if it were?
I am so very glad that there can never be a world without God. Even if all denied Him, He would still be there. Each of us who love God has a unique and personal relationship with Him. We live our lives according to that relationship. (20 hrs ago | post #3776)
Being gay is not a choice. What if it were?
As a Christian, I heed the call to love God and my neighbor. I believe God gives us the time on earth to work towards His perfection by taking care of each other. Not the check you slip in the offering plate each week, though that does help too. The day to day opportunities to help those who you encounter to experience a positive attitude, a cheerful greeting, a smile... looking for ways to make life better for even one person...these are to me, the true calling of the Christian. Why Gay Marriage Is Such A Big Deal
I agree. There are rude hotheads on both sides. I would still like a rational, open-minded discussion. That will never happen here :( (Yesterday | post #2004)

Actually, lesbians have the lowest STD rate of any group. Please educate yourself. (Yesterday | post #2003)

Osteen: Gays Aren't "God's Best"
Yes I was. For the two years that I was in abuse therapy after my divorce, I was celibate. (Yesterday | post #1577)
Churches targeted by 'gay' intimidation campaign
An example: The anti-marriage campaign in California and in Maine. This is using resources better used in helping the poor and the sick, to force us to live by their beliefs. I am a Christian liberal. I do not hate Christians or people of any other belief system. I do oppose those who would use their resources to try to force me to live by their beliefs. Why Gay Marriage Is Such A Big Deal
You and I and many other people believe that, but many people do not. Does that mean that He abandons them? I do not think so. God loves His whole creation, even doubters and disbelievers. Real hell is eternity without Him. There has got to be a chance to see Him, even if it is not in this life. I can't believe there are no second chances. He loves us too much. (Yesterday | post #2000)
Why Gay Marriage Is Such A Big Deal
You did not read my post, but continued to rant on in an untruthful manner. All we want is to have the same rights inour committed relationships that heterosexuals have. Nothing more. Morality does not come from who you love, but from how you live. All my students ( I taught and counseled children for 33 years)and my daughters and grandson would all disagree about having me around. At least my grandson would if he could talk. Now he just holds up his arms to be held. (Yesterday | post #1999)
Osteen: Gays Aren't "God's Best"
I was right in my earlier thinking, you make no sense. I was attracted to women at age 8. I have been attracted to women ever since. That makes me a lesbian. I did not have sex with another woman until I was 46. That didn't change anything, except my feeling to be true to myself. I was always a lesbian. (Yesterday | post #1574)
Osteen: Gays Aren't "God's Best"
I read this through twice, and still am not sure what you are getting at. Do you mean that when I do not have sex (which is most of the time)that I am not a lesbian? (Yesterday | post #1572)
Osteen: Gays Aren't "God's Best"
Since homosexuals are born that way, even if you do not engage in behavior, you are still a homosexual. (Yesterday | post #1571)
Osteen: Gays Aren't "God's Best"
As a Christian I do believe the bible is open to interpretation. Every Sunday, our pastor "interprets " the bible for us. No two pastors see it in the same way. The backup sources they use are different. The general feelings of the denomination are different (I am a Methodist). When i study the bible, I use the Holy Ghost as my guide while reading and interpreting. When someone says, "read it, it's right there", they do not realize that it is not as simple as that. What they want us to do is see it as THEY do. It just doesn't work that way. (Yesterday | post #1570)
