State of Florida shows great NFL first-round potential fo...

I could CARE LESS what round he's chosen in the NFL, or what he will do at the next level. It's ALL about college football! It's ALL about Saturday's in the Fall. Right now - UF's reigning champs & are poised to repeat. THAT should be the topic of conversation - not if UF will win another NC, but how many points they will rack up on their victims this Fall. GO GATORS!  (May 19, 2009 | post #35)

At least the Gator Nation are LOYAL fans!! Did the Cane's sell out their stadium even ONCE last year?!?!?!? How'd that 26-3 score in the Swamp taste!! Did you guys even go to a bowl? P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C!!! The only reason you're on this forum is b/c there is nothing positive going on in the Cane's camp & you're frustrated. Are the Cane's going to break the 500 record this year? Doubt it!! Get used to the holidays w/o yourt Cane's playing in a bowl! If you want some more ammo for your useless rheteric, watch for the Gators. They will be playing in the final, all important NC game in Jan.  (Apr 7, 2009 | post #50)

If you looked around the SEC last year, you would have seen some teams with young QB's - LSU had to totally rebuild - new coaches, etc. Don't expect the same success against the SEC this year - COUNT ON IT! Besides, it doesn't really matter b/c the Gators are going to win it akll again & represent the SEC well!  (Apr 7, 2009 | post #49)

NIT: Florida's season ends in quarterfinal loss to Penn S...

Ahhh, STILL bitter after two SEC teams SPANKED your beloved Buckeyes in football. Well, if you have to take solice in the short-comings of our basketball team, so be it. I can live with that, especially since I have no arguement. Gators have a great coach, just need better recruiting. Enjoy your short time in the sun b/c the Gators will be back in that round ball. Hey, we can always give you a rematch in football, if you're not too scared to lose a third time to an SEC team!!! hahahahah! GO GATORS!!  (Mar 25, 2009 | post #30)

Florida left out of tourney for second straight season

I believe that this team had talent, they are just too young. They need to get some more playing time under their collective belts & start believing in themselves. Let's win the NIT & maybe that will act as a springboard to greater things next year.  (Mar 16, 2009 | post #4)

Florida Gators snap losing streak with win over Kentucky

The team is still a very young team. Hodge is a Senior, are there any more starters that are seniors? Nick Calathes is their star shooter & he is only a sophomore. Granted the first NC in BBall came on the backs of 4 sophomores, but those guys were special. Don't think we'll see a starting 4 like that for quite some time. I believe that this team is on the verge of greatness, but maybe it's not this year.  (Mar 9, 2009 | post #6)

Florida QB Tim Tebow: Return for senior season not about ...

THANK YOU!! I'm glad SOMEBODY finally said something about this issue! My father and I get furious when we hear of student athletes leaving early for the pros. What about the full-ride scholarship that the school gave them? The school gives these kids a full ride in exchange for 4 years of play. Every school tries to build a solid program & it usually takes 3-4 years for each athlete to develop (there are a few exceptions: Tebow, Harvin). To me, an athlete leaving early is in breach of contract if he's getting a full scholarship. And to Flying Sqirrel's point, a degree from higher education, to me says a lot more about a person than what that person does on the gridiron.  (Mar 6, 2009 | post #16)

You miss the whole point of the article. Tebow is staying in school to help spread his faith. The more publicity about his faith & what he contributes to charity - well, it just may rub off on some of today's youth. What's so wrong about that?  (Mar 6, 2009 | post #13)

Gators home win streak snapped by Tennessee

It is when you think about the fact that Donovan had to totally rebuild after Joakim & the boys left. Think about all the starters that left after the 2nd championship - all 5 starters gone - the 6th man gone? REBUILDING!!! This team is on the brink of becoming a great team - they just need to believe in themselves.  (Mar 4, 2009 | post #60)

“um really wrote: In 13 seasons , Donovan has 2 titles. In other words , 85% of the time , he doesnt win the national title. Great coach or luckyGood point there! Two titles in 13 years isn't too bad, but when you count the 2000 team that went to the Dance for th efirst time - add that to the few conference championships & Donovan has done a pretty good job.  (Mar 4, 2009 | post #59)

That “Past” was not THAT long ago buddy. You are right though - the Gator BBall team does not have the talent that the “04's” had that delivered us BACK-TO-BACK CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!! That's RIGHT!!! You can complain all you want when we reference the past b/c your sorry Noles have NEVER WON A NC. The Gators are in a select few that have actually done it back-to-back!! Enjoy our mediacraty while you can b/c Donovan will bring them back to NC form again!  (Mar 3, 2009 | post #53)

I dislike the Cane's & the Noles just as much as any other Gator fan, but I have better - more important things to spend my time on than to jump on their blogs and bad-mouth their teams. Trust me, I would have a lot to talk about if I did, but I guess I, as a Gator fan like to think I have more class than that. GO GATORS!!  (Mar 2, 2009 | post #32)

The mere fact that these haters took the time to come on a Gator blog & express their opinions CLEARLY is an indication of severe Jealousy of a far more superior school. Yeah, PEAKS & VALLEYS. The Gator BBALL team may be in a slump, but they will come out of it. 2 BBALL championships & 2 football championships in the past 3 years? That's enough to make ANYONE jealous!! Tebow & a young - healthy football team coming back in 09? Can you say REPEAT?!?! I love it - more ammo for the haters - keep hatin you losers - it **** to be you!! GO GATORS!!  (Mar 2, 2009 | post #31)
