Totally agree, AG. IMO, Andrews should sue the pants off the city and then run in 2 years once he's cleared his name and hopefully the CM's office. I hope Vicky runs again, too, as well as Dana. I don't know Ralph but he seems like a good enough guy from what I've read but I've also read that Wms is a good person. (May 17, 2011 | post #18)
Speaking of those billboards... http://www.pegasus news.com/news/2011 /may/16/mary-puddi n-hill-fruitcake-m aker-greenville/ If Puddin Hill can't find an investor soon, Collin St. will get more business. (May 16, 2011 | post #3)
Hehe. You know me, I love to pick. Usually I reserve it for trolls but I couldn't resist picking on you this time. Open a door and I'll walk through it. That's just how I roll! ;o) Glad you're happy w/ the results. We'll see how things go. Clearly, my favorites didn't win but I'll be open minded and hope the best for the city. That's all most of us want anyway, including all of the candidates. We just all have different ideas on how to get where we need to be. Hopefully the winners took everyone's concerns to heart and will address them during their terms. If not, there's another election in a couple of years! (May 14, 2011 | post #4)
I think you meant to type "griping ", JGK. Unless you believe some to be a bit overly excited about the results. ;) (May 14, 2011 | post #2)

Well, that's not good. But who would you choose out of the 2 running? I intend to vote but have no idea who would help more or hurt less! (May 13, 2011 | post #3)
UGH. Like we need any more bad news. Not directed at you JGK, just in general. (May 12, 2011 | post #2)
That can change w/ the election coming up. If you're still here, I hope you go out and vote Saturday if you didn't do it early. Same goes for the others on this thread! (May 12, 2011 | post #6)
Hi Newhere. I feel ya on the lack of jobs here and agree w/ the "take care of their own" remark. If you're fluent in those other languages, maybe you could get some sort of job using the internet doing translations??? I wonder if the TYC has any deaf inmates?? Do you have an undergraduate degree? Ennis and Hillsboro are fairly close so you may have to expand your search. The job market here is pretty darned awful. (May 12, 2011 | post #3)
Well, I would think that the bennies transferred then. Thanks for your help. (May 11, 2011 | post #17)
I believe that she will but it takes 3 votes to get change. So, we need 2 council people who will agree with her. I think Collins will and some who know Andrews say he will and there's another councilwoman who is supposed to be good, too maybe Williams? So, if you're in the 'Can, please vote. (May 11, 2011 | post #2)
That makes sense. So, having terminated he or she, did that negate all of their prior benefits accrued at the previous position? Or would they have transferred to the new position? (May 11, 2011 | post #15)
We won't know until Saturday, HD. Glad you explained your "handle" though. (May 11, 2011 | post #5)
I've never understood the hired one person back the same day thing. Did the city realize that they had messed up or did they somehow save money firing/rehiring because of vacation/wellness pay or something? (May 11, 2011 | post #13)
