Finding a blasted job in Memphis
Start networking Jay. You can find local networking (career transition) groups that meet nearly everyday of the week. The groups offer a no-cost, effective way to connect with people in similar circumstances. And they are the best way to get introduced to the decision makers in your target companies and/or learn about about jobs not posted online. (Wednesday Oct 1 | post #2)
Bass Pro to redevelop Memphis arena
Sales $'s is the main reason why Bass Pro would choose Memphis. Their facility will sit at the crossroads of two major interstates. I-40 running East to West and I-55 running North to South. Makes perfect sense. They're not setting up shop here to service the Memphis Market. It's going to be a destination spot for sportsmen and an opportunity spot for travellers. $600 million dream: Memphis panel to study new convention center
Other than both being large public facilities, the proposed new convention center has nothing to do with the Pyramid. (Friday Sep 19 | post #3)

Who is Kevin Cane/ Kane/ Cain????
I found a link to a web page that references Rich Kid and Kevin Cain. It's on Myspace and I'm at work and can't access it. Maybe there is more info there. http://profile.mys pace.com/index.cfm ?fuseaction=user.v iewprofile&fri endid=162670092 (Thursday Sep 18 | post #6)

Who is Kevin Cane/ Kane/ Cain????
You might be referring to Kevin Kane, President and CEO of the Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau. High profile and generally respected Memphian. Wonder why you would here his name on CDs? What kind of CDs? (Thursday Sep 18 | post #2)
Well..there you go. Send me a pic of you at the McDonalds on Main St. in Baghdad. Carry on. (Wednesday Sep 17 | post #6)
Saying crap like this is an insult to every military man and woman in Iraq. Neither you nor I would last a minute on the streets of Baghdad. Though it's tough in Memphis, it's no Baghdad. Get real. Think! (Wednesday Sep 17 | post #4)
Sample the world's best BBQ for the world's best prices in Memphis
You ADHD jackasses are so lame. First, homers Chris and David turn a legitimate post about a Memphis BBQ event into a advertisement for some second-class bbq joint in another city. Like we need to hear about restaurants outside of Memphis...there is a BBQ joint on every corner here. C'mon. Then Suxx turns BBQ talk into a Memphis slam fest. Like anyone gives a flying fuck about your opinion of Memphis!! And don't get me started on Karl's post. WTF? Promote your lousy restaurant in a separate thread. Air your whiney-ass complaints in another thread. Sheesh. ...Now back to your regularly scheduled and infinitely insipid postings by roaving opportunists and serial whiners. Thanks for calling and have a day. (Monday Sep 15 | post #6)
My friend, the often times reliable, Mr. Google, has this to say. Title: Memphis, I'm Coming Home To You Artist: The Breaks or The Shoe Section or Susanne Jerome Taylor. Not a lot of history on this tune. Some say it was recorded by The Breaks (aka Drama) or by The Breaks under the name of The Shoe Section. In either case, it appears that 80's hottie Suzanne Jerome Taylor was the singer. I read where someone said they bought a copy of the song (by The Shoe Section) off eBay. As someone suggested earlier, might want to contact WMC stations or FM100. Or, a better bet, contact Miss Taylor through the following the following website... http://www.allacce sstech.com/patnsuz /patnsuz.htm (Sunday Sep 14 | post #5)
"Who Brought the Slaves to America?"
FfT, Area 51 called. They wanted to know if you were coming in to work tomorrow for the alien autopsy. (Saturday Sep 13 | post #8)
"Who Brought the Slaves to America?"
Correction: The issue is not solving crimes. The issue is too many crimes, so little time. (Thursday Sep 11 | post #5)
"Who Brought the Slaves to America?"
I'm sure, when you said "solve thier daily crimes scenes" you were referring to solving the problem of crime/shootings in general in Memphis and not talking about actually solving crimes. If not, then I take issue with your point. Depending on what source is cited, Memphis Homicide has either the highest or one of the highest solve rates of any department in the country. The issue is not solving crimes. The issue is too crimes, so little time. (Thursday Sep 11 | post #4)
