I would've probably gone to the lawyer's house or the house on the corner that belonged to the asst principal of ACS. Both right at the bottom of the access road.  (Aug 30, 2011 | post #5835)

I don't remember that bridge ever being open. Closed in the early 70's or late 60's maybe? Some others here may know better but it was definitely closed in 78.  (Aug 30, 2011 | post #5834)

If it's the A-frame I'm picturing, it's the one on the Five Mile, down the hill from McClure Hollow on the curve right next to the creek. I'm sure Chant99 will respond.  (Aug 29, 2011 | post #5814)

No. I wouldn't have any more to tell them today than I would have in 1978.  (Aug 4, 2011 | post #5647)

I'm still around, too. I just have nothing to add and I don't intend to pile on to the "pig pile". I'm just sitting back and watching the "Sh#!show ". There still isn't any evidence that could crack this case, as far as I know. I kinda feel that my gut feelings from 30+ years ago have been unofficially confirmed, for what that's worth. If a question is asked that I have an answer to or opinion about, I'll reply. Other than that, I only check in every so often to see if anyone has solved this case.  (Aug 4, 2011 | post #5644)

I'm not quite sure why Amigo and Paul are so sure that the employees that worked there at the time of the crime are so full of BS. They (we) surely have more insight and knowledge of what went on in the day-to-day operation of the area. We also knew the other employees and their character (or lack thereof). This was pretty plainly and inside job, IMO. I don't think anyone here has claimed to have evidence or proof that any person mentioned here (or not) commited the crime. I think it's pretty clear that this discussion has reached the end of the line. Everything that can be put out there has been. Except for people who have claimed to have information and not shared it. Those people will not be named for fear of having them call me names. I just stopped crying from the last time Paul called me a name. :-( It seems like some people are hear just to get their jabs in when they can. Apparently, Paul wants us all to run to the police and tell them who we "think" did it, without any proof or evidence. Well, I'm pretty sure the police already know who did it. Amigo....you need to grow up a little. What's with this...^^^^^^^ You should be above that.  (Jun 23, 2011 | post #5458)

still waiting for you to finger your suspect. Being so close to all the "real facts" of this case, you must have someone in mind? Care to commit slander first? BTW, I had to change my original screen name...couldn't use the messaging feature w/o registering. I'm Freddie Mac if you didn't figure it out yet.  (Jun 21, 2011 | post #5434)

Paul, What info? What evidence? If I had anything other than suspicions and gut feel I would've done something with it in 1978. It just turns out my gut feel coincides with other people's suspicions and circumstantial information. That doesn't amount to a hill of beans. Besides...you said that they weren't involved waaaay back in this thread. Therefore, they must be innocent. I'd be interested to know who YOU think did it, oh omnicient one.  (Jun 17, 2011 | post #5417)

It's all about proof. Who has evidence? Who has proof? It's also about slander. Without proof, empty accusations don't mean squat. Allegations don't mean didly. Suspicions and a buck will get you a cup of coffee. We all have suspicions and some may have some very strong ones. Without something concrete, it's just a friendly discussion...at least it was. The problem here is there's no proof. That's why this hasn't been solved. It may not be solved until someone intimately involved decides to confess. Of course, this isn't news to anyone who has been following this for the last year or two. Just my $0.02. Back under my rock.  (Jun 15, 2011 | post #5404)

Google maps has their label wrong. They have Grosstal Rd on the same road as Wing Hollow Rd. That's not correct. Grosstal Rd is one road north, which is also labelled as Grosstal Rd on the Google map. It's just a mistake by Google.  (Jun 14, 2011 | post #5397)

OK Thykol, send me a PM. I had to change my name. I was momentarily blinded by the light and couldn't see the keyboard. Crap, now I forgot who I was...  (May 5, 2011 | post #5310)
