Some moonlighting Cup drivers prefer N'wide car

I think that once the drivers go to Sprint Cup they should graduate out of the Nationwide racing. It would open up the field for more young new talented drivers.  (Feb 23, 2008 | post #1)

Post your Lowes stories, Good or Bad!!!!

I had a friend that hired Lowe's to lay a tile floor, what a mess. Of course it was a sub contractor but they made a mess of the job, ended up having to tear it out and redo the floor. But they tore it out and redid it. I am glad we have a Lowe's and I sure like Jimmy Johnson instead of Tony Stewart.  (Feb 23, 2008 | post #93)

Work Ethic in Campbellsville

Huckaby's plan of doing away with the internal revenue is not a bad ideal. We are taxed so much, first on what we make, then on what we purchase and a luxury tax, State Tax,(Texas there is no State Tax and I think a few other states are the same Nevada and maybe Tennessee) you name it, we are taxed on it. I think that it would make a lot more sense if we were taxed on what we purchased. If we don't want to pay a tax, don't buy it.  (Feb 23, 2008 | post #20)

Taxes, that is a whole other thread. Maybe you should start it. Do you think, that with how we are taxed today is what the forefathers intended?  (Feb 23, 2008 | post #19)

Work Ethic in Campbellsville

You are exactly right. They talk about keeping the hispanic out of the US. Who would pick the crops in Florida, the white person doesn't want to do it for anything less that $18.00 an hour. Who would do all the grunt work that the white person doesn't want to do. I think when they deport the illegals, there will be plenty of jobs that no one will want to do and we will have a bigger problem on our hands. But then again, why would they want to work when they can get food stamps and Social security for having back pain and head aches oh let's not forget depression. In my experience the people that really need disability can't get it because of all the ones that have depression and back pain yet they can afford new motorcycles, new cars and can fish all day.  (Feb 23, 2008 | post #14)

Sure that is what they told the public that they were moving shop and finding cheaper labor in Mexico, LABOR that is the key word. They can actually get people to work for the wage that they get, they show up for their job and usually if not early, at least on time. If people here would do the same they actually may be able to keep a company here.  (Feb 23, 2008 | post #12)

Work Ethic in Campbellsville

My observation is in this town there is no work ethic whatsoever. I watch the threads and a lot of people complaining about thier jobs, and how hard they work etc, how they are unfairly treated, have to work overtime, not being able to get off when they think they should, so on and so forth. Former employees of Batesville, Fruit and other places tell stories of how great it was to work there, One person said they would clock in and then go watch their kid play ball (no wonder fruit left) from personal experience one former Batesville employee can't make it to work on time continueously talks on her personal cell phone and then comes in late from lunch. With employees like that no wonder they left town. TG, MMUS and other factories that are on the point system, a large majority of employees have used all their personal days for the year and we are only in February. They want the big dollars but to do nothing or if they are asked to do something out of the ordinary the company doesn't care for the employees.  (Feb 22, 2008 | post #1)

One-call alert test is Thursday

I was very impressed with the way the alert was done today. 1st when the severe weather alert and then the original test at 2:00. This morning I added my husband and my cell phones to the list to call. I didn't expect to get the call this afternoon for the emergency test and it called my cell phone. Way to go 911 you did a great job.  (Feb 21, 2008 | post #1)

lady doctor

Dr Ackerman and Dr. Reynolds in Lebanon is my choice. They delivered both of my children and found cancer when it is hard to detect. My sister died of Cervical cancer so when they said cancer I panicked and they were there to help me through and not only that but help me find the information that would reassure me which route to take. They are not lady MD's but I would recommended them over any Dr in this area.  (Feb 21, 2008 | post #24)
