Who do you hate at Sykes???

There are a ton of different shifts on both day and evening shift. There are also some shifts that are 10 hours, four days a week that start either in the mid morning or afternoon and go into the evening.  (Oct 27, 2012 | post #25)

sykes trying tobmake people quit?

Sykes has an at home option. It is on their website. You have to have really specific internet requirements and computer requirements.  (Oct 8, 2012 | post #40)

Teen Venture-salary?

Noticed that the executive director position is posted again. What happened now? From a glance at their website, it seems like a lot good things are happening...  (Sep 26, 2012 | post #61)

I didn't address those things because I was replying to what you said in the post I quoted, which didn't mention any of those things. I notice that later on in this reply you switch over to using "you" and "your." I'm not a manager there, so if you think you were responding to one, you are totally wrong.  (Sep 23, 2012 | post #36)

I think a lot more people have stayed for a long time than you think. I didn't make it like people do not leave much. They do leave a lot and the majority of it is because people quit for a variety a reasons. Yes, the attendance policy is strict, but that's how all of the call centers in the region are. Most call centers make money based on either the number of calls they take or by billable hours. Of course call centers then are going to have strict attendance policies if that is how they bring in revenue. To compare the rules and pay benefits of Sykes to a Nazi death camp is absolutely ridiculous. The fact of the matter is that there aren't that many better paying jobs in the region that you can get without having a degree in finance, accounting, engineering, or something related to medicine. AT&T may pay better, but there rules and firing policy are much stricter than Sykes. They have a point system and if you hit that last point, it doesn't matter how long you have been there, you are out the door. And AT&T IS union by the way, so I'm not sure where that got them other than getting payed well until they get fired after working there for three years for turning on their computer too early or something ridiculous like that (and yes, that happened to someone I know). I've had many people from MetLife tell me that they got cussed out on that side as well. I'm sure it wasn't to the extent that happens on BOA, but it wasn't like everyone calling in on MetLife only said nice things. I'm not saying that you're not telling the truth about the managers yelling, but I just don't see examples of that happening on a day to day basis. Pretty much all of the current managers are really nice. A manager standing up and saying "hey, get back on the phone" when someone is on an illegal break is not the same thing as "yelling " at them. Is the place perfect, no, but for me, it's been a good place to work.  (Sep 22, 2012 | post #34)

There are people that started out on MetLife that have been there nearly four years. There are people there from the inaugural credit class nearly three years ago. On both credit and debit, there are people who have been there two years. Yes, people come and go and yes, some of those people are good people and hard workers. However, the place isn't Auschwitz like many on here are making it out to be.  (Sep 21, 2012 | post #32)

Walmart sells vibrator to 15 year plz

I'm not sure what everyone's problem with Tammy E. is, but as just a manager at WalMart, she cannot decide what products are sold or not sold if WalMart corporate wants them available in the store. I'm with everyone else who would rather have a 15 year masturbate then just go out and have unprotected sex.  (Aug 2, 2012 | post #15)

Gays Will Close Businesses In Grundy over Gay Marriage I...

In the situation of Chick-fil-a, it is not a matter of free speech. Dan Cathy has the right to say whatever he wants and donate money to whatever groups he wants. The problem is that the money he is donating comes from the revenue of Chick-Fil-A. So, if gays, lesbians, and their straight allies eat at Chick-Fil-A then that money is funding anti-gay charities.  (Aug 2, 2012 | post #8)

sykes women

If you actually show up to work and do your job, you'll be fine. The fact of the matter is that there really aren't that many better paying jobs in the area unless you have a specific degree.  (Jul 14, 2012 | post #12)

And it's not like there isn't a plethora of quiet back roads around Sykes for them to go park on for their rendezvous.  (Jul 14, 2012 | post #11)

a thing that went on at Raven asembly

Excuse me, "trying to get the members to help all they could?!?" You've got to be kidding. If this incident occurred, the pastor broke confidence of a church member and gave confidential information to the congregation...if that's helping, then I don't want any help from the church. How exactly was that going to help this situation? I can't imagine how mortifying it would be to have information that was supposed to be confidential announced in front of a very large congregation of people. This person was trying to figure out their sexuality and leaned on someone he thought could trust and that trust was betrayed. To try to blow this incident off by saying that all people make mistakes is wrong.  (Jun 24, 2012 | post #35)
