Clutter Causes Stress

The television show “Hoarders” ran an end-of-the-year marathon with some really extreme examples of this “compulsive behavior.” One does not have to be afflicted in such a major way in order to understand the problems disordered surroundings put upon the family. Studies have shown that what might be termed as “clutter” increases stress in the home. http://blog.sfgate .com/ontheblock/20 12/07/12/ucla-stud y-clutter-in-typic al-middle-class-ho me-at-epic-if-not- epidemic-proportio ns/ At Junk King, we don’t pretend to have all the answers. We do take on tough jobs though—and we perform our work with sensitivity. The company recycles and donates 60% of what we haul. We’re not psychologists or professional organizers—but we do get the job done in a professional manner and with kindness. So, whether your problem is keeping your household orderly, or restoring the sanity to your surroundings, we’re fast and we do all the work. You don’t lift a finger except to point to what has to go. 1-800-995-5865. chattanooga.junk-k ing.com/  (Jan 7, 2013 | post #1)

Help With A Lifetime of Clutter.

Does the average baby boomer have time to take on another project? Can Junk King haulers and recyclers make life easier? Would it help if someone fast, green, and reliable came to the house and carried away those years of accumulated junk and debris? You bet. That’s what Junk King does. In a 2012 survey, 47% of baby boomers said they were responsible for housekeeping, transportation, and the financial management of their parents. Does that mean the average boomer has the spare time to tackle years of clutter—probably not? Since nearly half of boomers either face the management of two households, or may soon be facing this dilemma, does it make sense trying to clear a lifetime of junk away by themselves, whether at their own homes or the homes of their loved ones? Lifting, loading, and climbing ladders to access lofts or attics can be dangerous, or at the very least, painful work. Part of dealing with a tough situation is to have a plan. Junk King can be part of a great plan. They are fast and recycle and donate up to 60% of the items they haul. Green boomers can be assured that they aren’t adding unnecessarily to the landfills. Let’s face it, the boomer generation can be in their mid-to-late sixties—it is a tough time to take on more responsibility much less heavy physical labor. Why waste precious hours or days cleaning when there is an alternative? Getting a lifetime of mess under control once and for all might be the problem--Junk King’s superior service may be the solution. We do all the work. America is Getting Greener

A lot of us remember the days when the only things that ever got recycled were glass bottles with a deposit. Remember Boy Scout newspaper drives? We’d save our old newspapers so the Scouts could earn extra money. Now the bins at home get the paper. Sorry Scouts, but it is faster and easier than saving big piles for a month. The United States is getting greener with our efforts. If you had told baby boomers fifty years ago that they now would be saving coffee grounds, melon rinds, and banana peels under the sink, they might have thought you crazy. After all, we had these new-fangled garbage disposals for that stuff. Think the “good old days” were better when it came to reusing, recycling, and other environmentally responsible actions? That’s just not true. How many people do you know who toss aluminum cans into the regular trash now? It used to be a common occurrence just ten years ago. Our company, Junk King, recycles and donates up to 60% of the material we collect—that is after the stuff has already been culled through for easily recyclable items. We keep more and more material out of the landfills—sorting the stuff we haul into more and more categories. We’ve built partnerships with recyclers and charities to make it work. It’s not always the easiest way to do things, but it is the right thing to do. Junk King as a company, and America as a whole, is getting greener. More and better methods for reusing and recycling are popping up daily. It’s progress. It’s green. And it helps make our world a cleaner place. 1-800-995-JUNK. http://macon.junk- king.com/  (Nov 30, 2012 | post #1)

New Dallas Junk King Franchise Is Cooking

Dallas, TX--So, let’s cut to the chase. Dallas Junk King’s co-owner, Renee Ferguson has appeared on “Throwdown!” with Chef Bobby Flay.” She’s a partner in the new Dallas Junk King franchise with native Texan and long time family friend Brent Gardner. No, we won’t disclose the result of the “Throwdown!”, but as any unbiased observer will tell you, that “Yankee” Flay bent the rules. Ms. Ferguson is certainly the most public face of Junk King Dallas, the green junk hauler and recycler. She has been on television not only with Flay but has also appeared on QVC, NBC, and Fox among many others. Additionally she aired on Oprah and Friend’s Thanksgiving Day Special, NPR along with other radio programming and was featured in Southern Living Magazine. She wrote the cookbook, “Talk Turkey to Me,” that includes not only delicious recipes, but some reminiscences of her 14 years of experience as a former Butterball Talk Line advisor. Brent brings his 28 years of sales and marketing background to the team as well as experience in running two successful companies. Brent is the former President of Packaging Specialists, Inc., and founder of Innovative Packaging Solutions. Combine Renee’s ease in public plus her business acumen, stir in the business expertise and sales experience of Gardner, and Junk King Dallas should be remarkable. But, behind the scenes, there is so much more. Brent Gardner’s wife, Janna, with Brent’s help, support and encouragement, founded Healing Hands Ministry, a charity medical and dental clinic serving the working poor in the Dallas community. As a school nurse, Janna found that many children came to her for primary medical care. Two years later, Healing Hands became a working full-service medical and dental clinic. From offering services two days a month, Healing Hands Ministry is now staffed with 44 volunteer physicians, 14 volunteer dentists, and one full-time paid physician seeing 3,015 patients for 9,915 visits in 2011 for medical and dental care they couldn’t afford otherwise. More information on the clinic is available at HealingHandsDallas .org. Junk King was founded by two childhood friends in 2005. Doing the work themselves, the partners, Mike Andreacchi and Brian Reardon decided to offer dependable, affordable, and green junk hauling service that focused the customer’s needs. Instead of rickety pick-up trucks, Junk King vehicles are state of the art, and hold 18 cubic yards, the largest load in the junk hauling business. Since its inception, Junk King has grown to nearly 40 franchises, all fully bonded, licensed, insured, and cost competitive. The company hauls junk for homeowners, businesses, realtors and property managers. Junk King recycles or donates 60% or more of the materials it hauls. Such concern for environment fit into the concerns the Dallas franchise owners have for “giving back.” “We all need to take a closer look at how we care for our world,” says Renee, “both our personal world and the greater footprint that we leave on this earth.” The co-owners at Junk King Dallas franchise believe that their new business will contribute in its own way to the greater good of the area. Junk King Dallas is located at 13659 Jupiter Road, Suite #208, Dallas, Texas 75238. 1-800-995-JUNK. http://dfw.junk-ki ng.com/  (Nov 30, 2012 | post #1)
