Palin faces questions as she exits national stage
I invented the car. I created the car. I invented the internet. I created the internet. I invented the television. I created the television. I invented the alphabet. I created the alphabet. Created is a synonym for invented. Check it out yourself. www.thesaurus.com I agree with you that it was not his intention to say he invented the internet. But you refuse to admit he said it. Even after I showed you. You're in complete denial. So if you can actually see Russia from an island in Alaska, then was the comment really that stupid? http://geography.a bout.com/b/2008/10 /24/can-you-see-ru ssia-from-alaska.h tm She was the governor of Alaska. Ever been to Alaska? They can't exactly grow corn in Alaska. A lot of things are imported to Alaska, giving her a lot more international and domestic experience in oversight of these items. I think, at the time of the campaign, she had a TON more international experience than Obama did. Just my opinion. (2 hrs ago | post #611)

I think you either absolutely refuse to acknowledge the whole point of this debate. You said "Show me where gore said this", and I showed you. You just refuse to acknowledge it. Did he say it? Yes. Was it clumsy? Yes. Do you believe Palin was intending to actually convey that she can actually see Russia from her house? Did she intend viewers to walk away believing that she can see Russia? From her porch? Or is it more likely just clumsy wording? (13 hrs ago | post #571)

Your last sentence. "Watching radical muslims". Isn't that considered GATHERING INTEL? Holy cow. You've got to be kidding me. (Thursday | post #271)

No it's nothing like it at all. The words "I took the initiative and created the internet." ACTUALLY came out of Gore's mouth. That's an ACTUAL fact. But to say Bush SR and one of the many bin Laden brothers were in the same room, at the same time, along with thousands of other investors were in the same room, and to say that they're friends because of that is absurd. I'm an investor. I guess I'm in bed with the bin Ladens too. Absurd. (Thursday | post #557)

My point exactly. Selective acknowledgement. It's a piece writen based on facts. You just choose not to acknowledge it. (Thursday | post #555)

Your problem can be diagnosed as selective acknowledgement. You only acknowledge the facts you wish. The facts that are undesireable to you, you discard. http://online.wsj. com/article/SB1222 12856075765367.htm l (Thursday | post #541)

If you actually did a little reading, you would see that the Bush / Bin Laden "friendship " is so far fetched, only a delusional dimwit like yourself would actually believe it. But it is a clever story, indeed. Do you have money in the bank? I bet there's a lot of dirty money in that bank. I guess that makes you a crook too. (Thursday | post #540)

Intel could have, and probably should have, prevented 9/11. I guess it was a moral and practical question then. . . I think Clinton's exact words were "They released him. At the time, 1996, he had committed no crime against America so I did not bring him here because we had no basis on which to hold him, though we knew he wanted to commit crimes against America." I guess conspiracy to commit terrorism isn't a crime. I don't think it's a moral and practical question now. Intel keeps this country safe. Like it or not, secret knowledge will always dictate the direction of the military action of this country. And from time to time, intel will be wrong. (Thursday | post #247)

Like I said, interpertation can be a funny thing. Both parties are guilty of bending interpertation. You're problem is you refuse to admit that he said he created the internet, even after ACTUAL FACTS are presented. Snopes offers an opinion on their interpertation of Al Gore's comment. The FACT is, Gore said "I took the initiative and created the internet." Again, the caveman says "I took the initiative and created the wheel." Who created the wheel? (Thursday | post #524)

Nobody's arguing the point that the internet is a great tool. His contributins toward the expansion and the avaliability of the internet are not in question.... your point is valid, yet irrelevant to the debate. (Wednesday Dec 9 | post #497)

Here's a critical learning exercise for you: Caveman says, "I took the initiative to create the wheel." Who created the wheel? (Wednesday Dec 9 | post #489)

Opinions are fine. But we dont have the information that Obama and Bush have that keep our troops in Iraq. Proved to be inaccurate after the war was launched and Saddam was removed from power. Investigations aren't always positive. The investigation showed our intel was incorrect. Big deal. A dangerous dictator is no longer in power, and we are responsible for chaos in Iraq. Let's just leave and let Iraq figure itself out. Then we'll see how the world likes us. (Wednesday Dec 9 | post #226)
