Ever been to Alaska? They can't exactly grow corn in Alaska. A lot of things are imported to Alaska, giving her a lot more international and domestic experience in oversight of these items. I think you either absolutely refuse to acknowledge the whole point of this debate. You said "Show me where gore said this", and I showed you. You just refuse to acknowledge it. Did he say it? Yes. Was it clumsy? Yes. Do you believe Palin was intending to actually convey that she can actually see Russia from her house? Did she intend viewers to walk away believing that she can see Russia? No it's nothing like it at all. The words "I took the initiative and created the internet." ACTUALLY came out of Gore's mouth. That's an ACTUAL fact. But to say Bush SR and one of the many bin Laden brothers were in the same room, at the same time, along with thousands of other investors were in the same room, and to say that they're friends because of that is absurd. Intel could have, and probably should have, prevented 9/11. I guess it was a moral and practical question then. . . I think Clinton's exact words were "They released him. At the time, 1996, he had committed no crime against America so I did not bring him here because we had no basis on which to hold him, though we knew he wanted to commit crimes against America." I guess conspiracy to commit terrorism isn't a crime. I don't think it's a moral and practical question now. Intel keeps this country safe. Like I said, interpertation can be a funny thing. Both parties are guilty of bending interpertation. You're problem is you refuse to admit that he said he created the internet, even after ACTUAL FACTS are presented. Snopes offers an opinion on their interpertation of Al Gore's comment. Opinions are fine. But we dont have the information that Obama and Bush have that keep our troops in Iraq. Proved to be inaccurate after the war was launched and Saddam was removed from power. Investigations aren't always positive. The investigation showed our intel was incorrect. Big deal. A dangerous dictator is no longer in power, and we are responsible for chaos in Iraq. Let's just leave and let Iraq figure itself out. Then we'll see how the world likes us.  (Wednesday Dec 9 | post #226)
