Gov. McDonnell's Supporters Set Up Fund for his Defense

You have got to be kidding me. Why does he need help to pay for his defense? Hasn't all of this scandal made it clear that he's extremely wealthy and can pay for his own defense? If nothing else, he can sell one of his many homes. (For the record, I voted for Gov. McDonnell.)  (Jul 19, 2013 | post #5)

Fluvanna BOS to Release Study on Water Options

Aqua Virginia is a crooked company. They have been raping Lake Monticello homeowners with outrageous water bills for years and seem to get away with rate increases year after year. I have absolutely no trust with respect to this company and Fluvanna County will be crazy to "partner " with them.  (Jul 19, 2013 | post #4)

Gov. McDonnell's Son Arrested in Charlottesville

Are you freaking kidding me? It's the Democrats who always get the pass by the media! The ONLY reason this is news is because of all the attention Gov. McDonnell has already been getting and the media were only to happy to pile more on.  (Jul 9, 2013 | post #40)

Rutherford Institute Reacts to ABC Policy Change, Demands...

Fight on, Mr. Whitehead. I wish you Godspeed. The Constitution is apparently not something which many people (especially in Charlottesville)care about anymore. Someday they'll wonder where their Constitutional rights went, but it will be too late.  (Jul 6, 2013 | post #14)

Barracks Road Kroger Begins $2.6M Renovation

Kroger is obviously vying for the business of the "upper crust" people to shop at Barracks Road. Their other C'ville stores are crap, but they're apparently not interested in improving them.  (Jun 6, 2013 | post #1)

Couple Shares Story of Home Maintenance Scam

I know it's too late for these poor people, but for anyone else--NEVER, I repeat, never give business to someone who comes knocking on your door or calling on your phone (unless it's a neighborhood kid wanting to wash your car or mow your lawn). If they're legit, they'll leave you with information on themselves so you can take the time to check them out and contact them if you're interested. If they refuse to do that, there's a 99.9% chance they're scammers.  (Jun 5, 2013 | post #2)

Louisa Dog Wins National Pets of Valor Award

Really! How can you report that a dog saved its owner from anaphylactic shock without providing details? I mean, the dog obviously didn't grab the epi-pen and adminisiter an injection, so what DID he do? I enjoy dog stories and would love to hear more about this one.  (Jun 2, 2013 | post #3)

Prince George Woman Arraigned in Death of Two Children

This is so true. For anyone who doesn't believe it, do a little research on Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood. She was an unapologetic elitist who was intent on cleansing society of "undesirables ". But this is a digression from the original topic. There is NO excuse for what this woman did to her children. None. If she didn't have day care, she should have called her employer and told them she couldn't come to work. God bless those poor babies for enduring what was most certainly a horrible, slow death. Lock their idiot mother away until she is too old to procreate.  (Jun 2, 2013 | post #13)

Winning Mega Millions Ticket Sold in VA

The purpose of a state lottery is to help the state raise revenue, primarily for education. Occasionally someone will hit it big. If you ask me, it's a win-win situation.  (May 19, 2013 | post #5)

Fluvanna Supervisors Appoint Zion Crossroads Task Force

Oh yeah, don't get those unruly citizens involved in the committee. You wouldn't want the people who might actually patronize potential businesses to have any say in the direction of development. Also, why is there a picture of the Rt. 53/600 intersection with this story? That is not Zion Crossroads.  (May 17, 2013 | post #1)
