Ronny the retard

Horrible comments!! Ronny is a decent, hardworking, religious person who is very friendly and has a great sense of humor..he is mentally challenged but is NOT a sexual deviant...Falsely accused by someone who misinterpreted his limitations as threatening.  (Aug 28, 2015 | post #7)

walmart breaks ground on monday

NOT happy about new Walmart in Flo!!!! Should concentrate on filling up empty stores instead - Grandview, old Michaels/Petsmart, old Culpeppers, closed car dealers along Lindbergh, etc...  (Jun 17, 2014 | post #34)

Support Handyman Hardware

Live a few blocks away from Lindbergh/Trotter Way store and they carry items specifically for our subdivision homes. May run over 2-3 times a week during DIY projects - LOVE Handyman and employees!  (Jun 17, 2014 | post #9)

Large gatherings on Saddlespur

Several days in a row - Cars lining the streets, big group of people, and selling things - what's going on and why is this allowed in residential area?  (May 31, 2014 | post #1)

valley of the flowers

As usual, Eagan Center was fabulous, FAMILY fun - crowds were diverse and orderly. Parade was the same. I was a little apprehensive (because of rumors) but took two pre-teen grand-daughters to fairgrounds late Sunday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to find the same great atmosphere. Way to go Flo Town - keep up the good work - love living here!  (May 7, 2014 | post #19)

Lindbergh 'beautification'

The sidewalks, lights, trees and shrubs along Lindbergh in Hazelwood and Florissant were a real delight at first - I wanted to see the same on Halls Ferry and on Florissant Road. However the plant material has been a real disappointment - trees growing into the overhead wires and needing major unsightly trimming, deciduous shrubs that need pruning and are not drought resistant. Seems like some bad choices were made...  (Jul 23, 2012 | post #1)

Spectacular Veterans' Parade Planned for Sunday

It was an honor to attend this parade and show our respect for all veterans, we've not missed it since its inception. Also, because no candy, etc. was thrown from the vehicles, children paid more attention to the parade participants! Every year we try to get more friends, families and neighbors to attend but are met with a strange apathy - very unpatriotic. "Spectacular " applies to that awesome helicopter - it was the highlight of the day.  (Nov 7, 2011 | post #6)

McCluer North Pride

Attending Varsity football games and other school functions this season has provided me with the following observations: 1. Families of students are caring and supportive 2. The school encourages superior achievement in academics, athletics and other activities 3. Students are thoughtful and fun kids 4. Race is of no consequence to these kids (and their teachers and coaches). As an old boomer, it took me a little while to realize something that children have always known - that face color doesnÂ’t matter. And, in closing, Go North Stars, and thrash Lafayette at the sectional playoff on November 5!  (Nov 2, 2011 | post #1)

Florissant, North County Seek to Give Fun Thrills, Chills

Haunted House hosted by Florissant Fire Department was fabulously frightening - don't know who enjoyed it more, me or the kids! And then a bonus upon exiting the firehouse? Free cocoa, popcorn and bonfires. Great to see fun activities provided for families and kids!  (Nov 2, 2011 | post #1)
