Middle Smithfield Township officials, rules bring poor ec...

this site needs some work to prevent overlapping of the flash advertising. This is not just limited to the townships', municipalities' and boroughs'. This is just a part of the major stumbling blocks thrown in place by the states and the federal government. Just try opening a lemonade stand.  (Aug 10, 2014 | post #2)

State Lawmakers Set to Revisit Police Radar Issue, State ...

Argue it all you want, plain and simple it's a revenue generator plain and simple. Don't buy that malarky the town makes no profit, the court costs are a big part of it.  (May 14, 2014 | post #1)

Local elected officials rally around Wolf

Oh yea, Wolf, he's the guy who wants to tax the oil companies out the wazzo, as well as all the other democrats jumping on that bandwagon. Like the oil companies are just gonna eat it and take it out of their profits. Like the oil companies won't just pass any increase in taxes on to their customers, you and me. Thanks there wolfie, but I'm quite content to keep those prices down. I think that what bothers me more than anything is the sheer number of gullible people who are allowed to vote.  (May 14, 2014 | post #11)

Logic

The buck for Benghazi stops with Hillary, the state dept has a book of rules and requirements, that book is their bible, not to be deviated from and in that book it has a MINIMUM security requirement for a US Ambassador, cut and dried, can't argue with it, it is the equivalent of the military UCMJ and general orders for foggy bottom. They screwed up and did not follow those requirements. As a result you have the entire democratic party elected officials doing a major cover everyones ass and most of all don't get HIllary dirty or mussed up. The size of the security contingent of Marines is not only based on the size of the embassy but on the threat level, low, medium, high, critical and I have never seen one ANYWHERE with less than a full company of US Marines. As Eric Nordstrom said under oath, HIllary waived those requirements, her chop were on the order and when it blew up in her face her ass should have been bounced out of there before the start of next business day.  (May 1, 2014 | post #18)

Stand up for your rights.

Meanwhile ignore programs like the DOJ's operation choke point and go on with your PC life.  (May 1, 2014 | post #2)

Could Citizens United and a semi-colon undo Obamacare?

On the face, maybe but then I don't think corporations should have the same rights as people.  (Mar 24, 2014 | post #3)

Is a costco coming here.

Would not mind it, both the local Sams clubs are 45 min south of here and I was never impressed with BJ's wholesale except for their gas prices. The nearest Costco to here is down in Roxbury/Rockaway NJ area.  (Mar 14, 2014 | post #3)

No, just size restricted. Remember the big hoora that went on a couple of years ago about the skydivers and the noise the plane made as it headed for jumping altitude there in E Stroudsburg. Can you imagine the ruckus if they were landing and launching 727's around here three or four times a day. It would be a new revenue source for the lawyers....  (Mar 14, 2014 | post #6)

They tried that in Hazleton, those backers are in jail or at least a couple of them are however it killed the off road park our jeep club spent so many months on building trails behind Humbolt park, now it sits empty. Pocono tried it by expanding their runway to accommodate larger aircraft which would have made tobyhanna depot happy, they could have expanded their maintenance facility menu to include air force, navy and marine corps hardware. Broadheadsville had a nice little airport when I moved up here and we still do behind the Chestnuthill diner, grass strip but nice. So if you have a plane and money to afford it you are more than welcome to fly in for a weekend.  (Mar 12, 2014 | post #4)

Chris Christie is toast

Had he been a democrat all would have been ignored but because he may be a republican contender the media is starting to destroy him early. That's ok with me as he's not a republican even though he ran and won on the ticket. Tom Kean was kind of the last closest republican that New Jersey has had in two decades. I'm outta here, this is my last posting, topix has turned to feces...  (Jan 20, 2014 | post #4)
