Sarah Palin Tells Glenn Beck: "I Hate Violence"

Not only does it lose relevance, but where is the actual "hate speech" that you are claiming. There is a difference in saying, "if someone dies..." or "I hope someone dies..." and let's say, putting a target on someone and asking people to "take up arms  (Jan 15, 2011 | post #238)

Sarah Palin Tells Glenn Beck: "I Hate Violence"

I don't believe that anyone directed this act. I do believe that this kid was a bit off and all the hate filled speech and images put out there by everyone did not help him in his delusion. Only the shooter can take the blame for his actions, however when you spew trash from your mouth like diarrhea, you cannot be surprised if someone takes your words and twist them for evil purposes because there is evil contained in your speech. You can't charge people to "RELOAD" without thinking that someone out there is actually holding a gun and then claim you were just talking about voting??? And why did it take her speech writers so long to come up with that very long-winded speech and yet they could pull the map instantly... a simple and quick, "my heart goes out the the victims and their families and I in no way support the actions of the shooter and think he should be punished to the full extent of the law" would have been easy, quick and simple. No she waited until she could get the most coverage out of it for her... and that bit about quoting Reagan??? Really? Didn't she call him "just an actor" a while back. Another example of Palin doing what's best for Palin! My heart and prayers go out to the victims of this senseless, mindless tragedy!  (Jan 12, 2011 | post #162)

Sarah Palin's revenge

I will tell you the same thing that I told the other moron... This is something that was set up in the 70s. It is no different than you investing in a company and receiving dividends from their profits, that is essentially what the PFD is in Alaska. Yes I am familiar with the PFD because I do live in Alaska. I am also not a fan of Palin either, however she is already stupid on her own so she doesn't need help from made up crap from morons! So all I ask is that you check your facts before you post the drivel from your brains! Thanks  (Jun 1, 2010 | post #632)

I'm sorry to tell you this, but you are an idiot sir. The Alaska Permanent Dividend has been around since the 1970s when it was written in to the state constitution. You should really look up your facts before you spout stupidity... I am no Palin fan, but you make the rest of us look like retards! Please stop, I am begging you  (Jun 1, 2010 | post #631)

Sarah Palin's revenge

That was not for benefit, that is because I also think you are not being truthful. I would like to know how a citizen can get away with not paying taxes? My father has worked in the oil business all of my life, he is currently in Korea and still has to pay taxes to Uncle Sam. Interesting... Especially, in order to be a citizen of Thailand you it would seem you have to give up your US citizenship since they do not recognize duality. I am clearly not an idiot, so please explain to me. Thanks  (May 24, 2010 | post #499)

Here is what the US government has to say about it: "Dual Nationality The concept of dual nationality means that a person is a citizen of two countries at the same time. Each country has its own citizenship laws based on its own policy.Persons may have dual nationality by automatic operation of different laws rather than by choice. For example, a child born in a foreign country to U.S. citizen parents may be both a U.S. citizen and a citizen of the country of birth. A U.S. citizen may acquire foreign citizenship by marriage, or a person naturalized as a U.S. citizen may not lose the citizenship of the country of birth.U.S. law does not mention dual nationality or require a person to choose one citizenship or another. Also, a person who is automatically granted another citizenship does not risk losing U.S. citizenship. However, a person who acquires a foreign citizenship by applying for it may lose U.S. citizenship. In order to lose U.S. citizenship, the law requires that the person must apply for the foreign citizenship voluntarily, by free choice, and with the intention to give up U.S. citizenship. Intent can be shown by the person's statements or conduct. The U.S. Government recognizes that dual nationality exists but does not encourage it as a matter of policy because of the problems it may cause. Claims of other countries on dual national U.S. citizens may conflict with U.S. law, and dual nationality may limit U.S. Government efforts to assist citizens abroad. The country where a dual national is located generally has a stronger claim to that person's allegiance. However, dual nationals owe allegiance to both the United States and the foreign country. They are required to obey the laws of both countries. Either country has the right to enforce its laws, particularly if the person later travels there. Most U.S. citizens, including dual nationals, must use a U.S. passport to enter and leave the United States. Dual nationals may also be required by the foreign country to use its passport to enter and leave that country. Use of the foreign passport does not endanger U.S. citizenship. Most countries permit a person to renounce or otherwise lose citizenship. Information on losing foreign citizenship can be obtained from the foreign country's embassy and consulates in the United States. Americans can renounce U.S. citizenship in the proper form at U.S. embassies and consulates abroad." http://travel.stat e.gov/travel/cis_p a_tw/cis/cis_1753. html  (May 21, 2010 | post #408)

Sarah Palin's revenge

Someone said that the PFD was based on taxes, they were very wrong. Here is what the PF actually is: "The Alaska Permanent Fund is a constitutionally established permanent fund, managed by a semi-independent corporation, established by Alaska in 1976, primarily by the efforts of then Governor Jay Hammond. Shortly after the oil from Alaska¬ís North Slope began flowing to market through the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System, the Permanent Fund was created by an amendment to the Alaska Constitution to be an investment for at least 25% of proceeds from some mineral (such as oil and gas) sales or royalties. The Fund does not include either property taxes on oil company property nor income tax from oil corporations, so the minimum 25% deposit is closer to 11% if those sources were also considered. The Alaska Permanent Fund sets aside a certain share of oil revenues to continue benefiting current and all future generations of Alaskans. Many citizens[who?] also believed that the legislature too quickly and too inefficiently spent the $900 million bonus the state got in 1969 after leasing out the oil fields. This belief spurred a desire to put some oil revenues out of direct political control." Then the state pays dividens to Alaskan residents from that fund, like any stockholder in a company. Hence the term PFD.  (May 21, 2010 | post #407)
