Man charged with shooting at deputies
Whoops...guess that kills Rah's theory. (Mar 26, 2009 | post #35)
Trooper collides with woman's vehicle
Hey Buck, I'm still here. A "short school" is NCSHP's abbreviated academy for prior certified NC LEOs. A "long school" for the NCSHP is their full academy with the BLET block of instruction. You've got some kind of beef with them and I can't quite figure out why. (Mar 4, 2009 | post #82)

What's your beef? Get denied a spot in their short school? (Mar 2, 2009 | post #51)

Could you have butchered that story any more? First, it was not a Trooper, it was a McDowell County Sheriff Deputy. Second, the mother did not die. Third, he no longer has a job with the Sheriff's Department. Fourth, he was convicted of the charges brought up against him. Why does everyone assume that everything is a big giant cover-up? Police respond to domestic disturbance, gunfire
It just says they haven't filed charges yet. If they can prove that he fired the gun, he'll most likely be charged. They'll also have to determine what happened during the physical altercation with his grandfather to determine if charges are necessary there. Where is High Meadow Road? (Feb 21, 2009 | post #5)
Madison deputy charged with DWI
Bingo! Where's the outcry? (Feb 16, 2009 | post #47)
Madison deputy charged with DWI
He did do something wrong, and he was arrested. He will be punished because of what he did, and I am 100% fine with that. I hate drunk driving. My comments to 'LOKEL' were in reference to his posting history. If an officer makes an arrest on someone for armed robbery after a traffic stop, he'll be posting in the story saying something to the effect of, "why did they stop his vehicle, that stop wasn't legal?" or some nonsense like that. He has a constant bone to pick with law enforcement. (Feb 16, 2009 | post #30)
Madison deputy charged with DWI
Blah blah blah. It IS every day that you sit back and criticize the actions of the law enforcement officers, even when they've done nothing wrong. You're pure scum. Go back to toking up and fry your brain some more. (Feb 16, 2009 | post #11)

"Troopers administered an intoxilyzer test at the Mars Hill Police Department that showed him to have a .10 blood alcohol content, .2 over the legal driving limit" Maybe we want to check our math, AC-T... .10-.08(Limit of intoxication)=.02 over the limit. (Feb 16, 2009 | post #10)
Go on a ride-along...you will spend NO time in a rich neighborhood unless you are responding to a call. All time is spent in the lower income, higher crime neighborhoods. (Feb 15, 2009 | post #21)
Got any data to back that up because I certainly do not believe it. Never once have I ever felt unsafe in Asheville. I have been to Houston, though, and I was constantly checking my surroundings. I never really felt safe there. You people speak as if Asheville is emerging as the new Flint, Michigan or New Orleans, La. Give me a break, it isn't that bad. (Feb 15, 2009 | post #6)
Jarrett column: Tar Heels have reclamied ACC mantle from Duke
Then you still need to learn to lose...NC State just knocked off Wake, and Miami wiped the floors with the Deacs last week. I won't believe you if you say you are a BC fan, but even if you are, you've got 7 or 8 losses to worry about (including one to HARVARD). (Feb 12, 2009 | post #8)
3 killed after police chase, crash in Granville County
