Live updates: Omar Kelly reports from Dolphins OTA

I have a sneeking suspicion that when it says Pat White threw a TD pass to whoever, it is probably out of the "wildcat ". I also hardly call it a dependence because whether you like it or not it is now "part of our offensive package". A non-traditional offense. DAMMIT IT JUST DOWN RIGHT FUN!  (Jun 2, 2009 | post #6)

Jason Allen practicing with the third team. It really amazes me this guy does JUST enough to stay on a team. With the additions in the secondary this year I put my money that scrub doesnt make the roster. His file should read: PROJECT TERMINATED  (Jun 2, 2009 | post #3)

Dave Hyde: Jason Taylor happy to take field in South Flor...

Just for fun I would think about trying Jason out at the middle linebacker. When you see what he can do there I would have some REAL fun and see how you can work him into the WILDCAT or redzone WILDCAT. Just throwing stuff out there.  (May 20, 2009 | post #26)

Jason Taylor re-signs with Miami Dolphins

I didnt read many people say because Jason is back the phins are going to the superbowl? I read that people are happy to see him back in a Dolphins jersey. They are happy to have the chance to watch Jason finish a phenomial career exactly where he should be, at home at Dolphin (Dolphins, Joe Robbie, Pro Player, Landshark) stadium. Most Dolphin fans are optimistic about the season but understand that they are trying to finish rebuilding this team and have one of the hardest schedules this season.  (May 14, 2009 | post #37)

Jason Taylor re-signs with Miami Dolphins

This was a "no-brainer " for the Dolphins. Taylors heart or work ethic has never been in question. This story just shows what kind of class act he really is. When he was with Washington he battled injuries and could not get comfortable with playing out of position. He still has gas in the tank. He can still contribute. As far as Bills decision, you just signed a fan favorite and possible one of the top five players to ever put on a Miami Dolphins Jersey for 1.5 million (a steal for a 6 time probowler and former Defensive Player of the year). There are a number of fans at this very minute knocking the dust off their #99 jerseys and will buy tickets this season to see Jason play. 1.5 million and they get a player that will boost ticket sales and contribute to a team with tons of potential. Giving he wont be the defensive jugernaut of the past but he will still contribute greatly to this defense as a leader and a player.  (May 14, 2009 | post #34)

Miami Dolphins: Jason Taylor to re-sign with Miami Dolphi...

Just dont expect him to be a dominate sack machine. I have a feeling he will be a situational guy that will perform when he gets the opportunity to get on the field. Like to see the phins try him at middle lineback just for the hell of it.  (May 13, 2009 | post #107)

Miami Dolphins: NFL insiders say Pat White will help Dolp...

Teams knew we were running the wildcat when Chad ran for the sidelines. White can come on the field and line up in a slot position and not be in the wild cat. White gives the team options and hopefully keeps defenses guessing as to what play they are going to run. It proved it work last year. They had an increase of 2 yard average per play in the wildcat formation.  (Apr 29, 2009 | post #77)

Miami Dolphins: NFL insiders say Pat White will help Dolp...

Difference one, all the before mentioned players where QB's and didnt run the option. Difference two, defenses moved the safty way up to play against the wildcat because they usually ran the ball (I know they scored two touchdowns passing the ball out of the wildcat). White gives the team alot of options and will keep defenses guessing and hopefully keep teams from stacking the box. Can you really call this offense a gimmick when a team runs it consistantly and effectively?  (Apr 29, 2009 | post #76)
