The Detroit News, 6/30/2009 5 students shot at bus stop close to school in Detroit 5 students from Cody Ninth Grade Academy have been shot at a bus stop close to the school. All are expected to survive. Two other people were wounded in the shooting. Police are searching for the shooter. The boy then accidentally shot himself in his abdomen. The child died after arriving at hospital. The men were dropping off a student at the time. The two children were playing with a loaded handgun when it discharged, striking the victim in the head. But you do not care about any of them because you do not know them, right? See, that's the thanks I/we get for making the photo I use as the most emailed photo in Sun Sentinel history. I guess 10,000+ posts I/WE made was the ticket! I had heard from friends who work for the Sentinel months ago that the amount of complaints due to rampant racism was just becoming too overburdening to the Sun Sentinel.
