You aren't kidding when you say dads have no rights in this state! My input on the parenting plan didn't mean squat. My ex lied and said that she worked every other Sunday which was our exchange day until 8pm so her lawyer wrote in the parenting plan that the pick up time would be 8:45. My ex was proven to be a liar and she didn't have to work but just wanted to dump the kids off as long as she could. I tried to talk to her about an earlier pick up time especially during the school year because that was too late for them to be getting home and trying to go to bed, of course she wasn't having it. Now I have a new job where I have to get up at 3am to be at work by 4am and she still plays her games and won't meet me earlier. She does everything she can to make my Life harder in the meantime she calls me wanting me to take on an extra weekend this month to help her out. She is freaking crazy!!! I also have to carry the insurance on my children and just found out that she hasn't paid her part of the kids medical bills when I have paid my part. Now if she doesn't pay then I am going to get turned into collections...go figure. My only option is to spend more money filing modifications of parenting plans and contempt of court paperwork to prove her to be the piece of shit she really is. All I can say is thanks WV for choosing her worthless ass to be the one raising my children when she doesn't give a shit about them and thanks for wasting my hard earned money on paying a worthless bitch to get drunk all of the time and not take care of my kids!!!! Child support formulas needs to be revised!!!! They leave the obligor with no money to pay for things needed such as rent, utility money, groceries, gas etc. Obviously they didn't think this one out. How do they expect men to be able to afford to have a place to have their children come and visit, let alone be able to feed them when they get here. After I pay my child support which is almost $500 a month, I barely have any money to live on. Now I'm not talking about living above my means or going out and partying. No I'm talking about making a truck payment, gas to get to work and putting food in my house. This makes me sick while the ex sits back and collects the money. I left her with a paid for home, all she has to pay for is her car payment, insurance and utilities. Not to mention she is a registered nurse and making $21 an hour as opposed to my $15 and hour. Plus I pay for my children's health insurance. The whole concept of child support needs to be revised to meet the needs of the recession!!!! (Apr 18, 2012 | post #258)
I agree with supporting the child that you made, however I think that at least half of that support should be put into a trust account that the child can use when they turn 18 either for school or helping them get started in life. Also I think that the receiver of the support should have to keep documentation of where that money is being spent on the children, whether it be for food, clothes, school supplies etc. It is very disheartening to a parent who fought to get full custody of my two sons but was shot down by the Kanawha County court system, pays my child support monthly, and owes no arrears to see my child support be used for my ex to go whore around and spend all of it in liquour and partying. I call my children and ask them what they are doing and they are usually sitting at home while their mother is hanging out with her friends. They come to my home and smell like shit because their mother hasn't made them shower. Their nails are long and nasty. It's a damn shame when your children sit there and can tell you that their mother is a drunk and she runs around with hoodlums, and when you try to tell your lawyer about it they tell you there is nothing you can do about it. So I commend those mother's out there that do work and take care of their children and are good mothers. But when your a money grubbing whore like my ex wife who sits around waiting to collect child support to go run around and party instead of taking care of your children then you should be ashamed of yourself. Honestly, how can a person walk by a suffering animal and not give it the appropriate treatment it needs. There was a beagle on our road that walked around for two weeks with a swollen paw, it stayed in this man's yard night and day because it had knocked up two of his dogs, which by the way this is their second litter of puppies since I have lived here. He never saw fit to get the dog medical attention or call the Animal Shelter to come and get the dog so they could try and treat it...he just walked by it everyday like it was nothing, but then I guess when you openly admit that you can't afford to feed your dogs and you feed them slices of bread every now and then, and the rest of the freaking neighborhood is caring for your animals...you could care less about any animal. Here's an idea...get a job like the rest of the freaking world, and maybe you shouldn't live in a huge house that you can't afford to pay the bills on. Get your dog spayed so she doesn't have anymore puppies!!!!! If you can't afford to properly care for your animals, have them spayed and neutered, feed them etc, then you don't need them!!!! I do not know about being the worst lawyer, but she definatley is the MOST rude and uncooth lawyer I have ever dealt with.....Susie Shepherd from St. Albans. That woman spoke to me like I was the most uneducated piece of Sh!t that she had ever laid eyes on. She is the worst at dragging cases out, and she is a pure man hater!!! She even has some kind of animal's balls in a jar on her desk as a souviner...wtf! I am a father and I pay my child support monthly, I also gave their mother child support before I was ever ordered to. I understand that small amounts of child support do not take care of all of the children's needs, but I pay $487.58 a month, and carry health insurance on the kids. Their mother has a damn good job and makes more than I do. I am trying to make it on my own, pay a truck payment, and insurance, house payment so my children have somewhere to come to and have their own room, plus utilities. Don't forget that I also need to put food in the house so that they can eat. I have fought for my children and to be more than just the every other weekend dad, however their mother states that she deserves child support and she is not willing to share joint custody because of this. She does not keep the kids with her and she is pawning them off on people most of the time. She doesn't make them bathe, cut their nails, or brush their teeth half of the time. When they come to me they smell bad, and their hair is greasy. They are being raised in an unclean environment and with a woman who her favorite word is the "F" word. I even have her on tape calling my youngest son a "little fucker." However, no one wanted to help me get my children out of this situation...I've called CPS, and they did nothing. Now I pay half of my paycheck to her a payday, so she can go buy new Iphones and have her hair and nails done, and my children are eating TV dinners. Even my children come to my house and talk about how they are sleeping on the couch so that her brother and his girlfriend can have their room. They talk about how they don't like their mom and wish ill things upon her. No one wanted to listen to me, so I guess I will just wait until she harms one of my children or something happens to them because of her negligence, and then maybe WV might want to look into changing their laws. It's not always best that the children stay with their parents, especially when that parent is mentally and physically abusing them. Their mother has done nothing but cause me problems, and the kids problems and the State of WV has allowed it. (Jan 26, 2012 | post #43)
