Gay Marriage - Columbus, OH

I have consistently heard only three arguments against gay marriage: 1)Religion 2)“It’s disgusting” 3)“Gays can’t procreate” To these arguments I would say: 1)Religion and government should stay out of each other’s business. 2)The legislature isn’t there to legislate taste 3)I’m fairly certain they know that. There are still more than enough of us who can procreate to carry on the species. Get over it and let them get married.  (Dec 22, 2010 | post #166)

Exactly what are you all belly aching about. The article is pretty specific about where the money is going - police, fire, and small businesses. These aren't hollow campaign promises... this is where he is committing the money.  (Nov 17, 2010 | post #18)

Who do you support for Governor in Ohio in 2010?

This is why I've been promoting the idea of "more than two parties." Green, Libertarian, Constitution, Reform, Independent... whatever. There are others out there that can probably do better than the clowns we keep getting from the big two.  (Oct 22, 2010 | post #987)

Who do you support for Governor in Ohio in 2010?

I would consider Green over either red or blue at this point.  (Oct 21, 2010 | post #953)

Who do you support for Treasurer in Ohio in 2010?

You are correct about the Democrats, and as veteran I would like to trust the marine... but that marine has agreed to be controlled by a party that lives off "trickle down" economic policy. The theory, of course, is that by cutting taxes to the corporations and investors, they will have more to invest in US business, which will help the entire economy, which will "trickle down" to the working class. Here's the problem - they DON'T invest inside the US. Have you heard the term "BRIC" nations? It stands for those nations where our jobs are being outsourced to - Brazil, Russia, India, and China. Both major parties accuse the other of being responsible for jobs going over seas, but they both contribute to it. I'm sticking to the third parties for a while. Hopefully, they can either do something about this mess, or show the D'sand R's that they CAN be replaced if they don't get their acts together.  (Oct 21, 2010 | post #88)

Pregnant Girlfriend Forced To Abortion Clinic; 6 Counts F...

Respectfully, there are many rights and privileges that are abused in this country... but those abuses do not mean that we should take them away from everyone. Right to free speech - the KKK abuses this right to spew hate freedom of religion - Westboro church, branch Davidians bare arms - any gun crime Abortion is an ugly choice, and I certainly hope that no one I love ever has to make it... but the choice should STILL be left up them, not you, I, or law makers.  (Oct 21, 2010 | post #40)

There are MORE than two parties!

The Republicans offer tax breaks to corporations and wealthy investers under the theory of "trickle down" economics... but hasn't it become obvious that the corporations and investors do there business OUTSIDE the US? The money doesn't trickle down to the working families who are the back bone of the nation. This new generation of Democrats haven't met a dollar they couldn't tax and spend. Taxes are a necessary evil to an extent, but couldn't a few of them try tax and SAVE economics for just a few minutes? I'm not a big fan of the TEA party, I'll admit that... but I'm willing to listen to them, the Green party, the Libertarian party, and the independents now. The two-party stranglehold on this nation has GOT to end!  (Oct 21, 2010 | post #1)

Every one step to the right

I will never vote Republican, but the Dem's have shown that they don't know what they're doing either. I'm voting for libertarians, greens, and independents. How about "Everyone step to the middle"?  (Oct 21, 2010 | post #2)
