Eugene liberal Profile
Instead of demanding one place for the people, why not demand more of them in more locations? The best defense is a powerful offense. Your lives wouldnt be dominated by big business if you had fought back long ago. Apartments wouldnt be going up if you had demanded that bankers pay for their crimes. Eugene politicians would see you as human beings if you had demanded humanity for the homeless long ago. Now those disgusting bloodsuckers allow apartment owners to illegally break leases and evict college students so they can raise rents. Homeless college students too? Hopefully well see apartment owners stuck with units they cant rent, and a lot of politicians losing their jobs. (Feb 13, 2016 | post #1)
A few people are writing about how dangerous downtown Eugene is at night, but theres also a different kind of danger that lives there in the day. No conservatives, you cant blame this one on the homeless, who do more to drive out drug dealers and users than the cops ever do. So, why are the cops determined to violate the human rights of the homeless and drive them out? Because all the city politicians care about is appearance. Its all about profits for downtown businesses. Downtown is where the homeless should be because its the city that made them homeless, keeps them desperate, and only does what they absolutely have to, and only to maintain the appearance of civilization, and keep critics quiet. We dont hear what city leaders and police are doing every day to destroy human beings downtown. That never makes the evening news. How can those broadcasters live with themselves? Ignorance is bliss. (Feb 13, 2016 | post #1)
The media reported today that the number of jail beds was increased and that the Sheriff was releasing violent offenders due to overcrowding. What should have happened instead was the release of non-violent offenders and victims of false arrest. Why are violent offenders given beds when so many nonviolent offenders and innocent people are forced to sleep on concrete floors? That says a lot about the mentality of the Sheriff when the worst offenders are rewarded and the innocent are harshly punished. The first priority should have been the termination / prosecution of the Eugene police and chief, deputies, and the sheriff who have committed felonies and abuse, instead of rewarding law enforcement with more money and power. PS - I can't wait to see how the Republican Village Idiots find a way to blame the tenants who become homeless as a result of this. See: Killing off the homeless in Eugene http://www.topix.c om/forum/city/euge ne-or/TRDDRV13D40I PBGMV (Feb 25, 2015 | post #2)
As usual, property owners are taking the Republican solution of kicking the little guys when they're down. In this case, felonies were committed by the wealthy, which should have no effect on the tenants at all. However, the Republican mentality in the middle is demanding that the tenants be victimized instead of the criminals. Republicans are total cowards who will never take on anyone who can fight back. The tenants are now the victims of felonies committed by the middle, but the article only quotes statements sympathetic to that criminal mentality. WHERE IS THE PROSECUTION? Of Shirley Burke who can't use ignorance of the law, especially when demanding tenants pay a security deposit TWICE. Of Terry Shockley - Property Management Concepts? Oh, never mind, Eugene is a place where crimes against the poor and homeless are never prosecuted, especially when those crimes are committed by cops and politicians. This is just the beginning and these crimes against the poor and middle class will escalate. (Feb 25, 2015 | post #1)
Well, you're not just petty, hateful, mentally ill, and dumb-as-dirt with a criminal mentality, but you're also an obsessive stalker. I really do appreciate all you've done to help expose conservatives for what they really are. (Feb 25, 2015 | post #6)
My best guess was that it embarassed the city. I suggest you email it to me and I'll reply to you. (Feb 25, 2015 | post #22)
I'm sure you are a disappointment mostly to your parents, unless they're just as mental. How-to WHAT? Republicans have to be told what to think by Fox News, Gingrich, and all the other professional liars, so you have to explain which ignorance you're talking about? It could be anything from how to protest (Ha! Cowards don't protest) to how to exterminate them faster, since so many eye witnesses survived WWII. (Feb 25, 2015 | post #21)
I know you're a conservative because you totally ignored reality and just don't get what's truly important: widespread fraud by a government agency, a cover-up of corruption by city politicians and law enforcement, the willing commission of crimes by library employees since nobody came forward, and not even about the library being used for other purposes. No, none of that got through to your petty 'Small' brain. What made you irate, which you took personally, was my attack on stupidity and cowards like you who promote government crimes by being too afraid of demanding accountability. I thought you conservatives hated paying taxes, but you hate God much more. Which Republican church do you go to? We need to know who else promotes kicking people when they're down and can't fight back. I now demand that the library kick out all homeless-hating Republicans every single time they fall asleep. I'm sure you'll complain when they do, because you can dish it out, but you're too 'Small' to take it. (Feb 25, 2015 | post #3)
Now we can see the good old shows that we loved like: Dragnet I Love Lucy MASH Rockford Files Andy Griffith Perry Mason Batman Star Trek Beverly Hillbillies On Comcast, Me TV is on channel 309. (Nov 27, 2014 | post #1)
After further research on Taco Bell, I have to say that it's not a bargain in most cases. They've downsized on quite a few things, so you pay too much for the amount of food served. One of the best deals seems to be the simple taco with water. (Apr 28, 2014 | post #4)
Costco - In case you missed it, they stopped selling good kosher hot dogs long ago, both in the store and the deli, and now they sell the common nitrate-filled garbage. Shame on Costco for that. They are again selling some of the best sausages Ive ever tasted, Aidells with bacon. Theyre also sold at other stores, but are almost a dollar and a half for each sausage. (Apr 19, 2014 | post #2)
IHOP needs to improve their quality of food or lower their prices. The parent company ignores all complaints. They also need to start putting soap in their restrooms instead of that foam garbage. How cheap. Roadhouse has very good food, real soap, and they are generous with the rolls and butter. Once in awhile they have good offers to save money. Hamburgers should be grilled, not fried - very important. Burger King and Dairy Queen grill and have fries that are not coated with gluten. Dairy Queen has a great $5 lunch which you can upgrade to onion rings, Blizzard, etc. everywhere except the one on south River Road, according to the young woman who absolutely refused to upgrade, so we walked out. Great sauces at Burger King, Carls Jr. and Arbys, including their Super Roast Beef with Super Sauce. Its not on the menu, so you have to ask for it. Little Caesars is affordable, but the one on Green Acres has consistently messed up our orders, and the parent company couldnt care less. Quiznos is good but overpriced. They need to give more deals and coupons. Subway is more affordable, but they had to be forced to start replacing their bread which isnt fit for human consumption. They also refuse to give customers that great chicken salad sandwich. The only problem Ive found at Taco Bell is their Crunchwrap because they dont mix the ingredients well first, so you bite into a lot of each different food and rarely get a good mix. I hate biting into a mouthful of sour cream then a lot of bites of dry food. They also need to lower their prices. If you love watching tv while you eat, they are at IHOP and Wendys (Green Acres) but you dont get any volume. McDonalds (Coburg) has volume and room for people to watch, standing or sitting. I suggest more restaurants add tv with the volume turned up in one part of the restaurant, and set up for people who are dining alone. NO to: To all desserts, which are overpriced and fattening, although Arbys filled croissants are hard to resist. Instead, take healthy snack bars and eat them in your car. Wayback where the burger buns are soaked wet with grease. KFC remains overpriced in spite of the economy. The Colonel would fire them all. Sharis didnt honor their own coupon when we went there so we never went back. We didnt like the food and the service wasnt good anyway. I found a sandwich at Marie Callenders so bad I couldnt eat it and never went back, also over-priced. (Apr 19, 2014 | post #1)
Yes, Southern states are on welfare, and they're Republican, proving again that Republicans love welfare, for themselves, corporations, and for all those who worship money. They just don't want anybody else to get it, like the needy. (Apr 19, 2014 | post #351)
Bike riders also mean fewer people riding those ridiculous large busses that only have a few people in them. Eugene residents can either start thinking intelligently, or keep agreeing with the politicians who aren't cutting the waste of tax dollars. Instead they keep demanding more money they can waste. What about all those flowers downtown? How much did all that ridiculous waste cost? I'm boycotting the downtown and protest against my tax dollars being wasted to help them profit? What about George Poling's fence? When are residents going to demand he pay for the full cost, and pay a fine for scamming the taxpayers? What about the $116 thousand to fence off the park, so the homeless can die faster? Until residents learn to vote for good politicians, and speak out against the waste, we'll keep seeing our taxes raised and money wasted. (Mar 9, 2013 | post #2)
