My husband and I were trying to conceive, but due to underlying health conditions we are not able to continue with infertility treatments/IVF. We were paying for everything out of pocket (just like many of you). Thanks so much! I have PCOS, and my hopes are not to high for the IUIs. I know the feeling about getting your period every month. Its very confusing for me b/c I still have a period, but I don't ovulate. It seems like every time I come home from seeing my RE I spend several hours researching what he said. Hello all, I would like to know about your experiences w/infertility meds (Menopur, Bravelle, Follistim, Gonal-F, and/or HCG)? This will be our 1st cycle, and as expected, we are VERY NERVOUS (perhaps mine has more to do w/the injections themself). I would like to know: what drugs did you use; what CD days did you have to inject; your side effects; # of cycles to be successful? We are having to pay for everything out of pocket, so this makes me even more nervous. I have PCOS, so of course our 1st step was Clomid. After 5 cycles, we determined that I would not be able to ovulate using Clomid, so we are now attempting injections w/IUI. I have researched these meds so much that my mind is about to pop, so I have decided to ask you for your input.
