Fed Budget needs the $100 of Billions

Why are we considering spending in these large numbers? Put it back in the US Treasury. What don't they get it? Our law makers must reclaim unspent and paid back money from the stimulus. You cannot argue over $4 billion and $61 billion in spending cuts, when hundreds of Billions of Dollars are being thrown around like play money. What do you say? Get that money back to pay down the debt. Please We can live without high speed rail. We cannot live with more government spending. We already owe more than we can pay without destroying private enterprise. We already owe enough to destroy the dollar. Stop the spending. Reclaiming the Stimulus/Bailout money can cut the deficit, cut the interest on the deficit, and cut the amount of taxes you have to collect from all of us. Write, call, visit you representative. Get everyone you can to do the same. What do you say? Doesn't that seem far more fair? Stop the huge spending first.  (Mar 29, 2011 | post #1)

Judge blocks contentious Wisconsin union law

Doesn't this whole situation remind anyone of the Health Care Bill, from short handing the process to appealing to a sympathetic judge? (even the Unions want exception from the health care bill after spending so much of the worker's money fighting to make it law.) I have a compromise for you: let's kill both bills and call it even.  (Mar 18, 2011 | post #66)

Rail money to move to North-East

$100s of Billions in the Stimulus/Bailout funds up for grabs while you fight over $10's of Billions in budget cuts. Presidents own commission said the interest alone on the deficit is threatening to kill our economy. The budget and deficit need that money, Cut out the purchase of expensive toys with their on going subsidies.  (Mar 18, 2011 | post #1)

Health Care - Bridgeton, NJ

It is too expensive, with too many new administrative agencies. Get the stimulus/ bailout paid back money first, $100s of Billions, put that on debt, then we can talk.  (Mar 18, 2011 | post #1)

Too extensive, too much hirearchy, and unneeded add ons. Get back the stimulus/ bailout $100B's first then we can budget.  (Mar 18, 2011 | post #7)

Even officers are being killed by illegals. They must be allowed to defend themselves. Laws that reflect Fed law must be legal.  (Mar 18, 2011 | post #3)

Although I am no a gun man myself, I support the right given to us in the constitution. As even George Washington said every man was to have a rifle and handgun. We were expected to bring our own guns if called on in case of war.  (Mar 18, 2011 | post #29)

How do we debate $10 s of Billions?

They have $100s of Billions in Stimulus and paid back Bailout funds that can ba appied to the debt, or at least put back on the table. Some of that Stimulus money is going into High Speed Trains, while we are still subsidizing AmTrak trains. I have been told by politicians that in the budget process all funds and spending are able to be redirected. The President's own commission said the interrest on the debt alone is enough for serious economic problems. How can we allow debate on the 10s, and spend without discussion 100s of billions?  (Mar 17, 2011 | post #1)
