Letter: U.S. should voice its disapproval

Thanks Max. There seems to be a real double-standard when it comes to Israeli's, and I suspect I know what it is rooted in.  (Feb 24, 2011 | post #9)

Antisemitism... one thing the terrorists and half the US has in common. Hate America first, then "the Jews" next, right Double-D? I bet you are bummed Hamas doesn't have 501(c)(3) status.  (Feb 24, 2011 | post #1)

Jobs are gone: Private Industry Council to shut down

A more appropriate headline would be "Government subsidized jobs are gone..." Quote: 'Peace said PIC got $7 million in federal funding this year, but "spent a lot early on in the year."' How, stocking up the stores they had downtown that competed with privately held small businesses? If anything, the blowout sales they are having are at least a sort of refund to the taxpayers. PIC used to be a good thing, putting employees in public entities where the program wasn't competing with the private sector. But, this direct competition with local businesses was not a positive thing. It may be sad for some of the kids that were getting on the job training, but PIC should have stayed within its boundaries and means. If you live off the taxpayers, you should never get fatter than them.  (Feb 24, 2011 | post #1)

Disturbing graffiti among taggings left at nature center

Maybe if these idiots had a better education they could find some other release for their teen angst. Something like creative writing, etc. It's too bad that the education system has become a union ran indoctrination system that focuses more on social and psychological manipulation than education in hopes of ruining the youth's critical thinking to make a nation of collective bargainers. The kids that rebel against this system are prime targets for older racists to recruit and exploit, whether they be National Socialists, La Raza, etc., and eventually end up in the prison industry complex, lorded over by thugs from the prison guard union.  (Feb 23, 2011 | post #1)

Letter: Welfare plan: What a deal

Liberals are hooked on OPM... "other people's money". Eventually the taxpayers are going to be bled dry.  (Feb 21, 2011 | post #11)

Mexican consul to visit Gridley; tea party plans protest

You're speaking too plain and truthful for the liberal crowd here. You need to scream, point, and rely only on emotion; otherwise they can not relate. But for the thinking folk among the crowd, we realize you are spot on  (Feb 19, 2011 | post #42)

OUHSD approves preliminary layoffs

Why not focus on education and cut all the social and psychological programs in the schools? Wait, that's not part of the "agenda" of the current educational system which is focused on indoctrination and elimination of critical thinkers. Well, they might suffer even more declining enrollment as I'm about ready to pull my kids out too.  (Feb 17, 2011 | post #2)

Money for job skills: City Council approves grant funding...

Well, when many of the parents are in the entitlement system (by choice), they don't know how to teach their kids to find jobs (or they don't care.) I was a product of the entitlement system, but luckily as a kid I got to live on a farm with Grandparents so I realized that people should work for a living and that accepting handouts wasn't right.  (Feb 16, 2011 | post #3)

Grants = Taxes. Wow, how did we ever survive before the government taught us how to get jobs?  (Feb 16, 2011 | post #1)

Willows man arrested for alleged sexual assault

"Gonzalez is being held without bail at the request of immigration officials." Ok, so when an illegal finally commits a crime, ICE is interested in them. But when there were hundreds of illegals in Gridley getting their Mexican ID cards the other day, ICE wouldn't lift a finger. So much for "Homeland Security" being proactive. "Just put up with the security theater at airports and be good sheep."  (Feb 15, 2011 | post #1)
