NJ, Denver and LA trade

I AGREE, BROWN'S EXPIRING CONTRACT WOULD BE ATTRACTIVE TO ALOT OF TEAMS, AND LIKE I SAID, JUST TO GET RID OF HIM WOULD BE A PLUS FOR THE LAKERS. YOU KNOW..IT'LL GIVE BYNUM MORE OF AN OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY AND I THINK IF YOU LET GO OF KWAME AND RAD THAT'LL GIVE US MORE FLEXIBILITY WHEN IT COMES TO THE CAP NEXT YEAR.(THAT'S A 9 MIL. AND A 5 MIL.EXCEPTION FOR THE LAKERS TO WORK W/) AND IF YOU DO BRING IN RJ, WELL THEN HE RIGHT AWAY BECOMES YOUR 2ND SCORING OPTION, WHICH WILL TAKE SOME PRESSURE OFF OF ODOM. I THINK W/ THAT TRIO THE TEAM SHOULD DEFINETELY BE MORE OF A RUN & GUN TEAM...BUT HAVING SAID ALL THAT, THIS MOVE STILL DOES NOT NECCESARILY PUTS US OVER THE HUMP. BUT ALL IN ALL, I WOULD WELCOME THAT TRADE.  (Aug 20, 2007 | post #22)

I would do that in a split second guys...just to get rid of Kwame and his contract would be addition by subtraction..but seriously, how much truth is there to this particular rumor?!  (Aug 20, 2007 | post #16)

AND I AIN'T TALKING ABOUT YOUR SHIT BULLS, WHO'S MOMENT OF GLORY HAS PASSED. AND DON'T EVEN START PUFFIN UP YOUR CHEST CUZ MAYBE YOU GUYS GOT A LITTLE SUMIN SUMIN IN THE WEAK ASS EAST. JO comes in, Bynum must stay

THE ONE THING HOLDING BYNUM BACK IS PHILLY JACK...YOU KNOW CUZ WE ALL KNOW HIS DISDAINE FOR YOUNG PLAYERS AND U SAW LAST YEAR WHEN PHIL WAS BASICALLY FORCED TO PLAY THE KID, DREW ACTUALLY SHOWED TREMENDOUS PROMISE. BUT FOR SOME REASON, AS THE SEASON WENT ALONG, WE SAW LESS AND LESS OF BYNUM, AND WE ALL KNOW IF YOUR PLAYING TIME BECOMES SPURATIC LIKE THAT THAN YOUR PLAY BECOMES SPURATIC. NOW THERE'S NO DOUBT THAT THERE ARE REPORTS OF BYNUM'S LACK OF HEART AND MANY PEOPLE QUESTION HIS PASSION FOR THE GAME, WHICH IS WHY I SAY HIS POSSIBLE GREATNESS REALLY IS ALL PREDICATED ON HIS WORK ETHIC. BUT WITH ALL THAT SAID, I DON'T KNOW IF I WANT TO GIVE UP ON THE KID SO SOON.  (Aug 15, 2007 | post #36)

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY WRONG...I'M NOT ONE TO REALLY QUESTION ANOTHER'S OPINION, BUT TO COMPARE BYNUM TO CANDYMAN AND STANK BROWN IS LUDICROUS. I MEAN IF YOU'RE A TRUE NBA FAN AND IF YOU CAN SEE THINGS OBJECTIVELY THAN I DON'T THINK YOU WOULD MAKE SUCH AN INANE STATEMENT LIKE THAT...I'M SORRY HOMEBOY, MARK MY WORDS...AS LONG AS BYNUM HAS THE WILLINGNESS TO WORK, THAN THERE'S NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT HE'LL MAKE YOU EAT YOUR WORDS.  (Aug 15, 2007 | post #32)

Lazy GM Mitch Kupchak

THE THING ABOUT KUPCAKE IS THAT THE DUDE HAS NO TESTICULAR FORTITUDE. WHETHER ITS STANDING FIRM AGAINST BUSS AND CO. OR BEING ASSERTIVE WHEN IT COMES TO DEALING WITH OTHER GMS, THE GUY JUST DOESN'T HAVE THE BALLS. I'VE BEEN SAYING IT AND I'LL KEEP SAYING IT, WE NEED A NEW GM. ONE WITH A HIGH BASKETBALL IQ AND SOMEONE WHO COMMANDS RESPECT. THE OTHER THING THAT HAS TO HAPPEN IS THAT IF BUSS IS GOING TO CONTINUE TO BE THE OWNER OF THIS TEAM, THEN HE AND HIS KIDS HAVE TO STAY OUT THE WAY, AND LET THE BASKETBALL MINDS DO THEIR JOB.  (Aug 15, 2007 | post #3)

I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE KOBE, JO, AND LO ON OUR TEAM AT THE SAME TIME. THAT WOULD BE A HELLAVA TRIO, BUT REALLY, DO YOU HONESTLY THINK THAT THE PENNY PINCHING FRONT OFFICE OF THESE LAKERS WOULD BE WILLING TO PAY ALL THREE SALARIES. UHHH...I HONESTLY DONT THINK SO.  (Aug 13, 2007 | post #8)

YOU KNOW, I HAVE TO SAY THAT I AGREE WITH THE COLUMN ABOVE, WHEN THE GUY IS TALKING ABOUT BYNUM REPRESENTING THE FUTURE OF THE LAKERS. AS MUCH AS I WANT SOMETHING TO BE DONE WHEN IT COMES TO BRINGING IN MORE TALENT (I.E.:J.O), THE QUESTION YOU HAVE TO ASK YOURSELF AS A LAKER FAN IS DO YOU WANT A 2 MAYBE A 3 YEAR CHAMPIONSHIP WINDOW W/ KOBE AND JERMAINE OR A POSSIBLE 5 TO 10 YEAR WINDOW W/ BYMUM AND CO. I HONESTLY WOULD RATHER HAVE THE LATTER BECAUSE I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A HUGE PROPONENT OF THE 7 FOOT KID, AND JUST THE THOUGHT OF SOME OTHER TEAM REAPING THE BENEFITS OF THIS FUTURE STAR CENTER ABSOLUTELY PAINS ME. BUT WHEN YOU DO CONSIDER THE STATE OF OUR BELOVED ORGANIZATION (AND IT'S NOT A GOOD ONE) ,AND ALSO THE POSITION THAT KOBE HAS TOOK, MAYBE BRINGING IN ANOTHER LEGITAMITE STAR IS SOMETHING YOU HAVE TO DO RIGHT NOW. IF YOURE THE LAKERS, ITS A HARD DECISION TO MAKE.  (Aug 13, 2007 | post #6)
