The correct headline: Dayton travels the state attacking Republicans, Republicaans react.  (May 26, 2011 | post #13)

Dayton is a flamimg idiot. he just doesn't get it. More money into a dysfunctional system does nothing. I really wouldn't care if they shut the state gov down for a month. My only concern is the nitwits would then give the state workers "Back Pay".  (May 26, 2011 | post #17)

Tom Powers: Vikings could've, should've waited to pick a ...

It is hard to believe these guys are paid big bucks to make these decisions. They spend hundreds of thousands testing and researching, and thousand of hours and this is the result? Unbelievable. And they will have to pay him 1st round #12 money.  (Apr 29, 2011 | post #50)

Minnesota Twins: Delmon Young pulls himself from lineup

We do not need to put up with this kind of crap. This guy is just mediocre when he can play so why don't we go out and get a decent outfielder or two. Put Joe out there and it's addition by subtraction. I can put up with Butera behind the plate. I know it may be hard for some of you, but he is actually better behind the plate than Joe. In the outfield Joe would be playing until he's 40.  (Apr 27, 2011 | post #5)

Cam Jorden would be a great pick. But have faith, Stevie Wonder has a better chance of making a solid choice at number 12. The Vikes brain trust will analyze hundreds of players and spend hundreds of thousands, only to screw up the choice.  (Apr 24, 2011 | post #6)

Bob Sansevere: He was the worst Vikings draft pick ever, ...

Underwood is not the story. Green and the front office that picked him should be the story. There is no better way to improve a team then through the draft. To blow a first round pick on a mentally ill player with issues is the story that plays out for years. The New Sheriff was a stiff.  (Apr 23, 2011 | post #6)

Shooter: 3 things to watch at Vikings' draft

Somehow they will find a way to screw up the picks. I'd love some real journalism. A great story would be to look at the past five years and research the next five players taken in each round after the Vikes pick. But no, Shooter grabs a laptop and writes some meaninless drivel and calls it a day. Ain't America a great country?  (Apr 23, 2011 | post #17)

Father accidentally shoots daughter near Braham

Sad story. I am sure the father feels about as bad as is possible. That said, you can't help but wonder, "what was he thinking"? Gun's can't be so common and commonplace that we forget or don't understand the protocols to be followed. One of the simplest and oldest rules is to never point a gun at anybody. My father must have said that a thousand times and all I had was a pellet gun.  (Apr 22, 2011 | post #32)

At 265 pounds, Minnesota Gophers backup quarterback Moses...

It ia amazing how with all his NCAA and NFL experience Bucky Brewster didn't have someone monitoring and advising on diet. Moses should have been appraised of his need to be in shape, no matter what style of QB play was practiced. Just reinforces how bad Bucky was and what a breath of fresh air Coach Kill is. Maybe coaching at a mid major taught him how to take also ran players and get the most out of them.  (Apr 21, 2011 | post #26)

Australian infielder Luke Hughes came a long way to crack...

Can he play in the outfield? There is very little said about the Twins's outfield. But our pitchers are not served well by our below average play. We are a long way from days when we had guys like Brunansky, Puckett and Hunter back there. Damon's HR in the tenth would have been an out in the old days because It would have been caught,  (Apr 17, 2011 | post #1)

Rays 4, Twins 3: Joe Nathan blows another save, relievers...

Joe is a quality guy and he will return to his high level of performance. No other pitcher has rehabbed this fast from Tommy John and why can we expect him to do so. The mostake is not Joe's. players want to play. It is on Gardenhire and his pitching coach(bff) for not recognizing that Joe is not ready.  (Apr 16, 2011 | post #34)

Behold, Low!

Sad deal. DB's get probation for all kinds of vilations. A resonable sentence would have been: Five years in prison stayed on conditions: 10 years of no violations.  (Apr 16, 2011 | post #32)
