The Hauntings of Haymarket Hollow

Fun Halloween attraction put on by the Boy Scouts out at Camp Snyder - "The Hauntings of Haymarket Hollow" http://www.boyscou ts-ncac.org/openro sters/ViewOrgPageL ink.asp?LinkKey=31 285&orgkey=370 http://www.faceboo k.com/group.php?gi d=101112876164  (Oct 6, 2009 | post #1)

I've been back for breakfast two more times - again - both times the breakfast was excellent! They were out of their delicious Corned Beef hash, however. I've learned to ask first about the Corned Beef Hash if I am planning on ordering it - if they run out - they substitute some other hash - and I am not a fan of it.  (Sep 14, 2009 | post #2012)

Agreed - I've eaten breakfast here now 6-7 times and never had a bad breakfast or bad experience. I did eat dinner here one evening about a month ago and ordered the ribs - they were tough. I spoke to the Manager about it - they have stopped sourcing the ribs from a particular place. I will definitely go back.  (Sep 9, 2009 | post #2004)

REVIEW: Cupcake Heaven

Liz, when you have such an experience - please, politely tell the owner. I do this where ever I go - it's the only way that folks know that things need improvement.  (Aug 5, 2009 | post #39)

REVIEW: Cupcake Heaven

Try talking to the owner. I told the owner of Cupcake Heaven about this thread yesterday. When I went in this morning for my espresso - she related she had no such conversation about this. So talking to as you state - "the woman" was not the owner. She would love to talk with you all and have an opportunity to change your mind.  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #35)

The Haunted Fort?

Back around 1970-1971 - our family went on vacation up around around Mackinaw City - and our Dad took us to an attraction called "The Haunted Fort." Dad is not sure now exactly where it was located - I am guessing either Emmet County or Cheboygan County - but to this day I can find no reference to this attraction anywhere on the internet. In any case, the Haunted Fort is a favorite childhood memory of mine - does anyone local know what happened to the Haunted Fort?  (Jul 30, 2009 | post #1)

REVIEW: Cupcake Heaven

I have a novel idea for those of you that had a problem with the cupcakes - talk to the owner and relate your experience. Try constructive feedback - you might be surprised at the result. Your other option is to continue to whine online.  (Jul 30, 2009 | post #31)

Catfish Lewie's is indeed closed. I had a wholly different experience than you. I ate there four times and was NEVER served potato chips. I was served fries each time with fried catfish, fried fish, fried oysters, and fried scallops.  (Jul 12, 2009 | post #1847)

There are a number of good businesses in Haymarket - please don't equate quantity and area of pavement with quality. There is Cupcake Heaven, Old Carolina Smokehouse, Pizzarama, El Vaquero West, All About Wraps Deli, Alibi Catering, Tensi Sushi, and Young Chow Cafe to name a few. I use Expert Cleaners and the Barber Shop in Haymarket: Cupcake Heaven: http://www.yelp.co m/biz/cupcake-heav en-and-cafe-haymar ket Pizzarama: http://www.yelp.co m/biz/pizzarama-ha ymarket Young Chow Cafe: http://www.yelp.co m/biz/young-chow-c afe-haymarket Alibi Catering: http://www.yelp.co m/biz/alibi-cateri ng-haymarket Tensi Sushi: http://www.yelp.co m/biz/tensi-sushi- haymarket Old Carolina Smokehouse: http://www.yelp.co m/biz/old-carolina -smokehouse-haymar ket All About Wraps Deli: http://www.yelp.co m/biz/all-about-wr aps-delicatessen-h aymarket El Vaquero West: http://www.yelp.co m/biz/el-vaquero-w est-haymarket  (Jul 1, 2009 | post #1799)
