Last Post? That's too bad, but it at least gives me the last word. Your rants are exactly what is wrong with this whole thing. You and hand full of others are blindly believing what has been spoon fed to you and never really looking at the the details. A new school will not solve the educational issues at ELCO, no way, no how. Look at "The School of Tomorrow" in Philly . . . shiny, new, modern, high tech . . . and falling short of all expectations. No need to wink, I already know who you are. I just wish you could have signed your name to your ranting so the rest of the community could see for themselves.  (Nov 8, 2009 | post #43)

Believe me, they haven't moved on. Well actually they probably did until you came back and sparked the fire again. Now I'm Jethro? I don't get it and it doesn't make any sense, but that is to be expected. Big school opening in August . . . yiiiippeeee! Can't wait until then . . . when all of the District's problems are solved. Should be a great day! The day when tax increase get under control, the children's grades go up, and the District's ranking finally gets above 100. The clouds will part and a ray of light will shine down upon all of us and . . .  (Nov 8, 2009 | post #37)

Is that the best you can do? First it was "Cry Baby", then "Country Hick", then "Southern Log Cabin". Wow, you have some real issues that need some work. And then we resort to swearing for the second time. Nice respectful way to communicate. So far all you have done is complain about the winners and talk about how the current Board is right. But have you offered any real substance? Have you provided any facts? Have you come up with any original solutions? No, no, no. Keep up the good work, your ignorance and arrogance gives us all more to talk about. In case you haven't figured this out yet, let me take you to school for a minute . . . you can't post phones numbers, addresses, or emails on Topix. Soooo, you will just have to go to the yellow book and find the "Ns" (that's after the Ms and before the Os").  (Nov 8, 2009 | post #36)

Oh I see, you're above name calling as well. (as you continue to hide behind an alias) But that's OK, I have a pretty good idea who you are anyway. You are sooo "high society" and smarter than everyone in this District. Why didn't you run for one of the open Board positions? And based on your comments, you obviously know some board members and would have been a good person to perpetuate their agenda. As for my phone number . . . you got my name, look it up. It's called a phone book, it might be difficult for you because it will require some reading, but do the best you can. Oh, by the way, I didn't go through the ELCO system. Your continued focus on August, as if it's some big victory, proves the depth of understanding you DO NOT have. And if the school opening is a BIG victory, then we are all in a lot of trouble.  (Nov 8, 2009 | post #35)

One more thing Sicky. I respect Jay Bauder and Phil Krall a lot for taking a stand and not hiding in fear. More people should do it. And I don't really care if I agree with them or not, be a man, and stand up for what you believe in, Even if you're wrong ;-)  (Nov 7, 2009 | post #31)

Waaaahahahahahahah ahahahahahahahahah ahahahahah, like you even know what you are talking about. The only one acting like a cry baby here is you. I personally have nothing to cry about except for wasteful spending, higher taxes, and a declining educational system. And where I come from, that's serious stuff, so tears may be appropriate. Ribbon cutting ceremony, please. Name please loser.  (Nov 7, 2009 | post #30)

Hey Sicky, crawl back under the rock you live under. Fact: ELCO is ranked 285 out of 501, and a new school ain't gonna change that. You are an idiot. The "new school stuff" is just the tip of the ice berg my friend. There are some serious educational issues that need corrected, and fast. The 18 Million would have been way better spent of the kids educational needs. No one can argue that point. Not even you and you idiotic position on the issues. You wanna talk to me, look me up. Name please loser.  (Nov 7, 2009 | post #29)

ELCO poetry cont'd

Shovels in August, Primary’s in May. So a small group was formed, and decided to play. The Board wouldn’t listen, and just looked away. Then hundreds stood up, and said “You Can’t Stay!” But the Board was firm, and continued to stray. Then the People got angry, and shouted “NO WAY!” The Board proceeded, and now the People would pay. So we prepared for the fight, and started to pray. In the end they went packin’, being sent on their way. They should’ve seen it coming, what can I say.  (Nov 6, 2009 | post #10)

Hey "Sicky", you really think you know it all don't you. You really don't get it. The only people that are miserable are those "in the wrong" and/or on the "losing side" of recent elections. And your comment about "moving" . . . why?, we want what's best for the kids and lots of us feel we can make a difference and improve the situation in ELCO. No more business as usual in ELCO, and that's probably what bothers you the most. Obviously you have close ties to someone on the current Board. If you are soooooo smart, why don't you offer some real solutions and stop criticizing those who have a real love for this area and want to make it better. So far, all you do is fire back and hide behind some stupid name. That fact shows a major character flaw and it's why no one will ever take you seriously. Be a man, yeeeesh. (even if you're not) Oh, and your comment about "cry babies" . . . ain't no cryin' here. But I did see some serious whining in many of your recent posts.  (Nov 1, 2009 | post #19)

Once again we have another coward that uses other people's names in their posts while they hide in the shadows. Get real "Duh". I was shocked when I heard about Dwayne loosing his volunteer position, but I wasn't surprised. I'm sure there will be more where that came from. Actually these actions prove Dwayne is close to something, what it is I do not know, but it obviously has someone in the District scared. I would like to clarify one more thing . . . just because you don't agree with every Board action does not mean you have "great disdain for the district". It's exactly the opposite my friend, it shows how deeply you REALLY care about the future of our children. Remember to get out and Vote on Tuesday Nov. 3rd! Vote Boyer, Gardener, Houtz, Mark, and Jadell Souders.  (Oct 30, 2009 | post #7)

ELCO School Board Election

Don't forget to get out and vote next Tuesday. There are 6 open School Board seats. Remember . . . Boyer, Gardener, Houtz, and Mark! (for a full 4 year term) And Jadell Souders! (for a 2 year term)  (Oct 27, 2009 | post #1)

In Elco, SOS-backed candidates weigh issues

That question was asked, but no real answers were given. They say S.Town is full, but yet there are kids that could just go the school in their area and take the pressure off S.Town. Newburg village is a good example. Just wait until the District starts talking about how to split ELCO for the two proposed K-2 schools. (Zeller and Jackson) Are they going to us 501 as the split and everyone east goes to Zeller and everyone west goes to Jackson? Or will they send the S.Town kids to Zeller and send the M.Town kids to Jackson? (or visa versa) Either way, that's a lot of busing and there is no way everyone is going to be happy.  (Oct 17, 2009 | post #24)

Spotter, you bring up a good point . . . "Who will be the next ELCO SB president?" Will it be a newbie or will it be Ray, Jack or Leon? That should be an interesting "election " and a SB meeting you won't want to miss. Also, who will represent the District at LCCTC? I'm sure the new LCCTC rep will be a welcomed change to that board as well.  (Oct 17, 2009 | post #21)

In Elco, SOS-backed candidates weigh issues

Why does everyone think the roof spending is because of Carrie and Scott? I was at the meeting, and I believe there were only one or two that were against repair or replacement. Don't blame any of this roof thing on SOS or any of the new Board members. These problems existed for several years, long before SOS could be blamed for anything. This additional potential cost to the District is a very tricky situation. What do you do when one of your buildings needs repairs? What do you do when you don't really have the money to make those repairs? Tough decisions and I'm sure there will be tougher decisions coming in the next few years. I just hope the current Board and the incoming Board take into consideration what's best for the kids, and what's best for the residents of ELCO. After all, that's their job and it's what they were elected to do.  (Oct 14, 2009 | post #19)

Richlander, strong words for someone hiding behind an anonymous name. Try coming out from the cowardly shadows if you got all the answers. First of all, the only thing the "SOS Fanatics" ever wanted was what's best for kids and the residents of this District. That's more than we can say for some of the current Board. And where do you get your info? Sounds like you're either on the current board or you're drinking the school-aid. And based on your comments, you are a real follower and definitely not a leader. Also, your comments about emotions . . . you are absolutely correct. That happens when the people stand-up, ask questions, and get ignored. But comparing SOS slogans to Obama slogans . . . please. SOS's slogans at least had some real substance ;-)  (Oct 13, 2009 | post #14)
