New Boom expected in AP Education Sector

The Union Cabinet recently approved for the establishment of seven new national level educational organizations in Andhra Pradesh. It includes IIT, NIT, IIIT, Agricultural University, Central University, IIM and IISER. Our state is already well known in education sector for its HCU, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), IIT and IIIT. The central government also agreed to a long pending proposal of establishing Tribal University in Telangana region. With the advent of all those approved organizations, academically the state will get a good recognition in the country. A new boom is also expected in AP education sector. One IIIT was started in this academic year in Satyavedu, Chittoor district. One more IIIT establishment is planned near Kakinada in the next academic year. There are three IIMs in southern states. One more is coming to our state. Previously central government announced to set up a world-class university in Visakhapatnam. It is not yet decided where to establish the newly approved Central University in the state. A new proposal of recognizing Andhra University as central university has also come to the notice of the Centre. At least Rs. 10 crore required for the establishment of all the above Union cabinet approved new organizations.
