Yikes- I'm not sure I even want to touch this topic!!! Heh... I agree it's not looking good for this guy, and even if there are incongruencies in the story the girl is telling about dates (or perhaps the media is doing a poor job of trying not to let the girl get singled out by other girls who were at the 'slumber party'), that is definately something a good lawyer will pick apart. However since this guy is representing himself, I don't see as there might be any problem with that. It's going to be difficult to prove, however unless there is some kind of evidence. Yeah, you guys remember the guy who got caught using the HOV lane with a blow up doll and the judge sentenced him to stand on the side of the street with the doll and a sign that said 'Obey the HOV rules'? Oh and at my school 500.00 in a kids wallet was not uncommon, so it depends on the school and the kids. (Oct 3, 2007 | post #12)
The whole point is that they ARE NOT DOING THEIR JOB!! (Oct 3, 2007 | post #47)
LOL! Yeah when I first heard that I was like... what??? I mean if you're gonna be doing that at least buy a couple other items so people aren't staring at you funny! (Oct 3, 2007 | post #37)
That's why I go try to kill my own meat. No hormones. No additives. No bleaching process. Just MEAT. DEER. ELK. RABBIT. GROUSE. DUCK. I don't care... it's all meat and it hasn't been tampered with. The way nature intended, and I don't have to pay 20.00 a lb for it either! (Oct 3, 2007 | post #54)
yeah and he had it for five months before turning it into the cops. (Oct 3, 2007 | post #14)
The gas station horror stories continue... Don't ever buy gas from Bradley's Gas Station! They may be cheap but they treat their workers like crap and would rather hire illegals from Iran than pay decent Americans to work for them. My husband got fired from there because some guy left his wallet on the ground and he went to pick it up, then the guy came back and accused him of trying to steal it! THE NERVE OF SOME PEOPLE! The guy even called the cops and everything. (Oct 3, 2007 | post #68)
Lilliths Spawn you should convert over to WOW with me, just think of all the fun we could have getting together and terrorizing the humans! (I soooo play a night elf!) We could run trough instances and slaughter thousands and take all their loot, and level up by going on cool quests into unknown lands together, then rally enough people to conquer those lands from the scourge! We could learn how to mine or leatherwork or cook together, and kill evil possessed creatures out in the middle of no where, then come back and sell what we've found and be the richest players of all time!!! MUAHAHAHAHAH! FOR THE HORDE!!! *looks around at everyone else now staring at the two of us like we're maniacs* Uhhhh.... Let's split up, we'll be harder to catch that way, meet me back online in a few days and we'll conquer WOW! (Oct 3, 2007 | post #766)
Thanks, I think I'll stick with knowing my red wine helps fight heart disease and not get into the health benefits of bodily excrement... except maybe... oh nevermind, don't care if that's healthy or not, cuz it's fun! (Oct 2, 2007 | post #32)
ASPEN??? BOL!!! Can you imagine the looks on all the rich/snobby people's face if you went to Frisco or to the Outlets up there dressed like that? It would have to be a huge group, of course but.... *rolls out of desk chair falling on the floor holding sides laughing* (Oct 2, 2007 | post #725)
Actually, based on the mother's confession they can still charge them with something, even if it's just false reporting, or criminal disposal of a body. That would give them the time they need for finding the cause of death and they could always add charges later. These two must have some high-powered lawyers that took the case trying to say it was a matter of them being blamed by stereotyping or some crap like that that the cops have to be sure they can charge them with hard evidence and not just the mom's confession and/or bloody towel. I always wondered about that, they said the paper towels had blood and/or some other bodily fluid on it... I wonder if they just couldn't say for certain it was blood, or if it was blood and something else? UGH... either way the point is someone could have rushed evidence through to get these people behind bars, and they didn't! (Oct 2, 2007 | post #38)
Perhaps they didn't have any hard evidence, but the mother pretty much confessed to them she had a hand in disposing of the body, you CAN convict someone off of just a confession. They could have held the guy on the fact he violated his probation! It's not that we want these guy's constitutional rights revoked, it's just that we know there hasn't been enough push to make the charges stick. Six to Eight weeks for a medical report?? YOU'VE GOT TO BE JOKING. IT DOES NOT TAKE THAT LONG! Most autopsies can be completed in two-three days. They are just messing around and it makes us all angry. (Oct 2, 2007 | post #37)
