Bail bondsman with ties to Risken case found dead

Hi Harry, - that's rich; you taking the time to entertain my ignorance, then cry that I was critical of you, after your many posts critical of LE's efforts in this vexing multiple murder case. Ah Hell Harry, let's agree on something. Your wrote, "This Forum is not just "All About You"...Well said Harry. Now look in a mirror! This Forum is not about either one of us. Nor is this the place for us to play one-upmanship as arm chair dicks. I suggest we both knock it off, out of respect for the surviving family & close friends of 4 victims, dead from gunfire. I shall make no further posts to this page. Take your last pc keyed shot at me Harry, on this page, if you like. Or, if you prefer, you may message my Facebook Page, by search for: Edward A. Well Harry, Orlando, FL seems a bit distant, to me, for you to judge the LA Sheriff's Dept. to be "keystone cops." Having worked private security, beat, patrol & supervision from 1981, throughout the greater L.A., CA area, until my retirement in 2002, and having interfaced in harms way a few times with many LE Departments, no two departments impressed me more than the LA County Sheriff's Department & the Gardena PD. My boots on the ground in L.A.'s streets, in decades past, lead me to believe that you are an Arm Chair Detective/Monday Morning Q.B.  (Sep 29, 2009 | post #57)

Harry, - a professional would not have missed, at the hair salon. No offense, but you seem to be grasping at straws. Delacruz/Romero are of course innocent until proven guilty. It will be interesting what evidence the DA puts forth, in the trial, that has not yet been made public.  (Sep 29, 2009 | post #55)

Mine is a curious nature too Harry. A touch of sad reality though suggests to me, that the full story of the Lomita Black Widow's web will not be known for years yet, if ever. My current curiousity has me wondering when the trial of Delacruz & Romero will be held, as it's over 5 months since they pled "not guilty." I think it more likely the defense is the delay, than is the D.A. I will definately stay in touch.  (Sep 28, 2009 | post #53)

Just a note to both Linda & Harry: Thanks for your continuing interest in this vexing multiple murder mystery. While at 1st glance I bought the GPD/Coroner suicide line, on the death of Henry, your comments, along with the one from Pastor, have me ready to ask for a new investigation of "Who shot Henry?"  (Sep 21, 2009 | post #49)

Officer Kroesen Remembered

He has fought the good fight against a killer disease. Now his burden is transformed into eternal peace. In such trials of the human body, mind and spirit, as cancer, I choose to believe that God does not demand that we be successful. God, I believe, only asks that we try. Does anyone know of a father & son who ever tried harder, than Gus and Steve Kroesen? May the knowledge that the answer to that is "No Way," offer some small comfort to the Kroesen Family, in their double grief.  (Aug 26, 2009 | post #10)

Protesting retirees arrested at Sen. Feinstein's West LA ...

I'll second that & amend it; that Feinstein should take Boxer with her, subject to the provision that both, 98 other Senators & all 435 Representatives be forced to enroll in any form of Obamacare that becomes law. Let them get in line, for rationed care with the rest of us. Never happen but thanks for letting me rant.  (Jul 30, 2009 | post #6)

Dear Laura & Sister, It must be a deep agony not to know for sure, if your brother shot himself or was murdered. I will pray for a definitive answer, for you, as I keep praying that the ashes of U.S. Navy Commander Law "Larry" Risken Jr. will be found in the Philippines and returned to his family in Olympia, for internment, with full military honors. Damn, your brother Henry sounds like he was a fun guy and a good friend to many! Please accept my sincere condolences & know that you have a friend in Larry Altman, at the Daily Breeze. I second the hope that GPD will do a through post autospy investigation & release for publication; all findings that lead them to support a Coroner's ruling of Suicide. Henry's grieving daughters deserve no less. If GPD is not near 100% sure Henry died by suicide, an FBI review is in order.  (Jul 30, 2009 | post #40)

Hoskins death ruled a suicide

Perhaps Jazzwoman picked up this mystery thriller in the 3rd or 4th chapter. I suggest we all tune in Saturday night at 10pm, for the CBS 48 Hours Mystery Special update. Someday, this sad mystery will be solved. Few, if any, will have given more of themselves to seek justice [here] than Senior Daily Breeze Crime Reporter, Larry Altman.  (Jul 29, 2009 | post #7)

Fox's Glenn Beck calls President Obama a racist

Obama fooled too many of the people, until after the 2008 elections but his mask has came off, in his knee jerk moment of playing the race card in Gates-Gate. In the words of Larry Elder, Obama uses the Race Card as both sword and shield. Ya wouldn't think so, I do admit Jim. Still, if a GPD LT. tells Mr. Altman, "All things we know point to suicide," I take note that GPD knows more than I. My uninformed opinion then is "probable suicide." I'll leave 2nd guessing the police, without the facts, to Mr. Obama. Let's wait for the autospy.  (Jul 26, 2009 | post #29)

Another sad story, with ties to the mystery, but well done by DB Crime Reporter Altman, as I would expect. CBS 48 Hours is likely burning the midnight oil now, to update the scheduled October 1st update, of the mystery of Lomita's Black Widow. I do hope the show is broadcast this Sarturday & not postponed.  (Jul 26, 2009 | post #26)

Swine flu worries scuttle Japanese study program

While this is a major dissapointment to both Japanese & Torrance H.S. students, there is a strange quirk with the H1N1 virus that causes me to respect the decision to cancel. That quirk is the increased vunerability to this virus, by healthy teenagers. I hope most of the students who missed out on this years trip to Japan can go next year. Meanshile, if the Torrance students do make a 2 day trip to San Diego, may I suggest a visit to the Aircraft Carrier Museum, USS Midway (CV-41), which served as America's forward based CV out of Yokouska, Japan for many years. In any event, have a great summer guys & gals.  (Jul 18, 2009 | post #4)
