Will the new Bar-B-Que joint hire only southern looking (whatever that would be) staff members? Like Chipolte hires only Spanish American looking staff. I think in most places they call that discrimination. Also, doesn't McDonalds own Chipolte? Good luck finding those marketing dollars to support the new concept. I love Bar-B-Que so I hope it works but I'm not holding my breath. I'll just keep eating at Famous Daves until something better comes along. In TX they have some great quick Bar-B-Que places. Thats what we need. So this idea isn't new. Take a swing through Dallas and find a Dickey's - Great food, affordable and quick. (Oct 15, 2009 | post #1)
New York Yankees sweep Minnesota Twins with 4-1 victory
No relief pitcher, no bench and poor base running lead to this sweep. How can your bullpen come in and walk three straight guys, our DH was our third string catcher (the Yankees countered with Matusi) and we had two HUGE base running mistakes in the past two games (Tell Scott Ulger his job is to make sure the player can see him he's 70 feet down the line). A great year wasted and the Magice of the Dome gone forever. (Oct 11, 2009 | post #2)
Barnard says he's retiring from KQ morning show in 2012
I thought Tommy B retired about 10 years ago. He hasn't had an entertaining show in over a decade. Turned it on a few weeks ago to see if anything changed - it was like it was 1997 all over again, Stretch with his lame football picks, off colored jokes, Teri being a kiss up. I couldn't turn it off fast enough. (Sep 30, 2009 | post #108)

Charley Walters: Minnesota Vikings' Brett Favre opting for shor...
The Gophers wear white shoes instead of black because of what? "I like speed" White shoes are faster? Maybe Mason needs to tell the 800 MLB players that. What a fool. He's not funny and he can't coach. I thought I'd never say this but please bring back Glen Mason. (Sep 18, 2009 | post #7)

Charley Walters: Protecting Brett Favre becomes critical
The fact Glen Taylor's team lays an egg every time it takes the court or his GM lays an egg everytime he tries to make a move I guess is just another "egg" to Mr. Taylor. (Sep 8, 2009 | post #24)
Twins, Nathan blow lead in ninth to White Sox
I thought Nathan had both guys struck out and didn't get the call on a few pitches. I'm not blaming the umps for the lose but he got those calls earlier in the series but not yesterday. The home plate umpire was inconsistent at best. But Nathan has to keep the ball in the ballpark too. You have to know that Konerko was swinging for the fences. What did the White Sox have to lose? They are out of the playoff race so why not swing for the fence. Very very disappointing lose. (Sep 3, 2009 | post #48)
Timberwolves president: Ricky Rubio had deal to join Minnesota,...
Wait - Is Kahn the president of the team? What does that other guy do? I thought their president was Taylor's kid or son-in-law or someone like that. Or was it that other guy with the English accent and the bad hairdo? Who is the team's president? Who is calling the shortNo wonder they have no direction, they don't even know who is in charge. Good move Rubio. Stay far away from this organization. (Sep 1, 2009 | post #24)

Rubio or Kahn? They both act like they know everything and talk out of both sides of their mouth. (Sep 1, 2009 | post #23)
Shooter Now: Imagine the lineup the Minnesota Twins could have had
And if Kirby didn't get glaucoma and if Tony O's knees wouldn't have given out, it Johnny Castinos wouldn't have had back problems and Marty Codova wasn't a one-year wonder.... Those are wouldas and couldas - The bottom line is the shoulda- we didn't controll the things we could have controlled and we are stuck with what we are stuck with. Crede has been a poor investment, our pitching is sub par and our infield even worse. We have a super star catcher and first baseman, above average outfield. Thats it... We have to live with it for the rest of 2009. (Aug 21, 2009 | post #18)
Qwest doubles top broadband speed in Twin Cities
I have Qwest DSL - I've had very few problems with it. Its slow but its affordable and its has worked very well for my family's needs. $110 per month? That is a lot more than I pay for my DSL - ALOT!. (Jul 20, 2009 | post #10)
