Tennessee Has The Highest Asthma Rate In the Nation

It also "ranks" super high up in pollen content especially in spring and then late summer- early fall (ragweed). Being positioned in a "crater" of sorts doesn't help either. When it gets hot and humid that inversion layer seals it in until it rains.  (Mar 19, 2008 | post #3)

The Beatles

Roger McGuinn credits The Beatles for inventing folk rock.

I read an interview with Roger and he said seeing George Harrison playing an electric Rickenbacker 12 string on Ed Sullivan inspired him to go buy a same one the next day then to start an "electric " band.  (Mar 19, 2008 | post #9)

Interview with Robert Cray on Cincygroove.com

Robert and Band's live double CD is really top notch. The sound and production on it is also.  (Mar 18, 2008 | post #3)

Heather Mills to Get $48.6M Divorce Settlement from McCartney

Well at least he is rid of her and 48.5 milion may be worth it. He probably has much more than that left.  (Mar 17, 2008 | post #4)

Biggest NASCAR crybaby ever

Darrel Waltrip definitely was at top in his days to the point of his demise in NASCAR.  (Mar 17, 2008 | post #14)

DID ELVIS HAVE CONTEMPORARIES?

Bob Luman may be one. He is mainly known as a Country artist but did Rockabilly and pop recordings as well.  (Mar 17, 2008 | post #19)

ANYONE LIKE THESE OTHER ARTISTS?

Cool One! I also like the 1st Paul Butterfield LP. Also like the Marshall Chess Jr show on Sirius. He coveres a lot of interesting music and history on Chess. They did a good bit of Soul, R&B and some Jazz there along with Blues recordings.  (Mar 17, 2008 | post #49)

The Beatles

ANYONE LIKE THESE OTHER ARTISTS?

The original Fleetwood Mac and the Rolling Stones even recorded in Chicago because of their liking of the music from there.  (Mar 16, 2008 | post #42)

ANYONE LIKE THESE OTHER ARTISTS?

"What do you think of the Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton,(reading a Beano comic)?" Another great one! I still listen to it as well. Also have that John Mayall " 70th" DVD.  (Mar 16, 2008 | post #38)

The Beatles

ANYONE LIKE THESE OTHER ARTISTS?

There are some early videos of Peter Green with FM on youtube. Being older ones the quality varies. Early FM also include 2 other guitarist members, Danny Kirwin and Jeremy Spencer. Danny was the last member of that era to leave but played on "Kiln House", "Future Games" and "Bare Trees". All three are worth a listen. The John Mayall "Hard Road" LP is still one of my favorites.  (Mar 15, 2008 | post #34)

Ford relaunches Fiesta

I had an '80 Ford Fiesta and a great car all around. It was very quick on acceleration and got very good mpg. The Fiestas sold in the US were made in Germany, had 1.6L engine and Weber 2V carb.  (Mar 15, 2008 | post #20)

All Blues Fans – Must Read This!

I'll have to check out that DVD. Long time fan here. Met Albert in the early '70s and quite a nice fellow. He has a really "cool" and distinct sound.  (Mar 15, 2008 | post #2)

Like Duane Eddy also for instrumentals. Need to get a CD at least of his. I have several Hank Marvin CDs. "Marvin At The Movies" is a favorite.  (Mar 15, 2008 | post #27)

The Beatles

FIRST BEATLES ALBUM OR CD YOU BOUGHT, EXPLAIN.......

I never bought a Beatles vinyl LP as my friends, brothers or sisters did then. I borrowed or listened to theirs. Usually I would buy LPs that the others probably would not. The 1st Beatles CD bought was Rubber Soul.  (Mar 15, 2008 | post #30)
