tracks on 149th Pulaski

The tracks and the land they are on are known as the "right of way". The upkeep of the right of way is the responsibility of the railroad, not the village. Those tracks are owned and maintained by the Rock Island.  (Feb 1, 2014 | post #5)

St. Christopher School

St. Chris is one of the main focal points of our town. I personally will be at the fund raisers, help run them and do whatever I can to help out. My personal funds are low at the moment, however I will donate what I can. I do not have any kids at the school but my family does attend masses there, I live in this town and I have no plans on leaving. Things get bad when good people do nothing, so lets get off our butts and do something instead of finger pointing or complaining.  (Jan 12, 2014 | post #104)

Upkeep of homes and squatters

The trouble with that is if the owner gave up the house, it takes the bank some time to get possession of it. All the bills that add up before the bank takes legal possession are subject to dispute. Now after the bank takes possession then your idea has merit.  (Sep 2, 2013 | post #11)

FYI On October 23, 1983 a water truck was do for a delivery. That truck was hijacked and a bomb laden one came in at the correct time. The sentries on duty were operating under rules of engagement condition 4. That means they had no magazines installed and no rounds chambered. The only barrier was a constatine wire fence. The resulting blast killed 241 US servicemen. 220 marines, 18 sailors and 3 soldiers. In a second attack just minutes later the French barracks were also hit. They had about a two minute warning after we were hit. This enabled them to open fire on the truck that came at them. The French lost 58 paratroopers in that blast. Reagan's first response was to call the attack a " Despicable act." Reagan then appointed a military fact finding commission to find out what went wrong. The commissions report found SENIOR military officials responsible for security lapses. Source Wikipedia 1983 Beirut barracks bombing Hmmm. No mention of blaming a video and not a single report of someone saying what does it matter. Just a commission to find out who dropped the ball and how to fix it.  (Sep 2, 2013 | post #6331)

Ricky, I answered all of these topics already. I proved to you with facts and legit sources ( unlike the majority of yours that come from biased sources). Your problem is when someone proves you wrong, you start with name calling then change the topic or ( this is one that you excel at) bring up unrelated issues that you then harp on about. Then ( this gets better!) you then claim that until someone answers your unrelated( to the topic on hand) questions you will not answer THEIR questions. Wow, and you have the nerve to call someone an idiot. Your ass was kicked by several posters in the past, on different threads and under some of your different names. You must face the facts that you are not as smart as you tell yourself, your research tends to be sloppy because you mainly use sites that back up your OPINION ( caps added to let you know that is all you really are putting out here.)and you really must stop using the whole spelling thing when you are losing. See my posts on your spelling and sentence structure.  (Aug 27, 2013 | post #6257)

Hey Ricky, Did you ever get a haircut? You were looking like a skateboarding kid last time. Please Ricky, for my sake, get a haircut and start liking yourself. All this anger you have is not going to make you like yourself.  (Aug 24, 2013 | post #6230)

Ricky, one more thing. You owe an apology for your statements concerning Mr. Zimmerman. On this very thread you stated that you saw the news report and knew what you saw. After it came out that the tape was doctored ( they admitted it )you should have had the grace to admit that you were suckered in and that you were willing to wait for the facts to come in. If you want people to listen to you, you should admit when you are wrong. This will make you a stronger person and maybe, just maybe you will start liking yourself. signed your friend, Eagleman ( aka Beagleman for those that have issues)  (Aug 24, 2013 | post #6229)

Ricky, you bad boy. You're off your medication again. After reading just a few of your rambling posts, I have a few suggestions. Use the word "gave" in the following sentence. "Remember how it give Bush the win....." Try using "Now lets see how good your memory is." Saying " Now lets see how much...." makes you sound like your parents wasted money for your education. Try the phrase "Do you remember" instead of the simplistic "Remember " Using the phrase "You don't remember?" instead "No?". It will make your corrections of others stronger. Ricky, I cannot believe that you of all people used "gonna". Honestly, the correct wording is "going to" Ricky, Do you really think that " Compared to you? He looks like a genius." is the best way to write that out? Don't you think " Compared to you, he looks like a genius." This way makes it a statement instead of a question. Now Ricky, please make sure you take your medication BEFORE ( caps added to help you out) you start correcting others. You wouldn't want anyone to use the old saying about glass houses would you?  (Aug 24, 2013 | post #6228)

Midlothian Police

The thing to remember is if the cop didn't see the kid throwing the rocks all he could do is tell him to move on unless there was several witnesses to the act. As for a contact report, those are a waste of time. I live near the McDonalds and believe me, the cops know what kids to keep an eye on.  (Aug 17, 2013 | post #23)

Scotty, I would love to see what you could do with a slightly larger budget! Maybe a casino night or two , just to add to the pot.  (Jun 29, 2013 | post #5)

Midlothian s new six wheel ATV

True, the Forest preserve cops do handle the forest preserves, but they can call upon local police for help if needed. Midlothian does have several areas that have not been developed and are heavily wooded. 2 years ago my brothers block was hit by a micro burst. Atleast 6 large trees blew apart and came down. It took 2 days to clear all the mess. Just an example of a time where it could have been used. I agree with you that we should not have one on a full time basis, the cost vs the need just isn't there, but to have access to one in a time of need without us having to buy and then maintain it sounds like a good idea. Kind of like renting a steam cleaning machine. If you only need it once in awhile, why buy one.  (Jun 28, 2013 | post #33)

Midlothian s new six wheel ATV

Several places come to mind where the atv would be useful. Forest preserves, along creek or river beds, open fields or even a street that might be blocked by downed trees or house debris from a tornado. Since these type of emergency's are rare but do happen, it makes sense to share stuff instead of everyone paying and maintaining stuff  (Jun 27, 2013 | post #29)
