Midterm Election Results - Reidsville, NC

I expected there to be more balance. I am disappointed that the Democrats did not come out to vote.  (Nov 12, 2010 | post #1)

Sorry friend - but it's broke. And to add, Sam Page supports and runs on a platform that the legislation similar to the Arizona Immigration Law is best for NC. Personally, I don't think that he should have any opinion on it and should focus on the county. There is a time and place for discussions regarding immigration reform, but the sheriff's race - here in rockingham county - is not the time or the place. Not that it should not be discussed, it should not be an underlying campaign platform for Sam to run on. Just my opinion. Regarding Brian, I will have to say that I am very impressed with his experience and credentials. I also feel that he has the best interest of all citizens in the county and is truly non-partisan with respect to law enforcement in our county - which is the office he is running for. He doesn't use wedge issues or grand standing to make his points. He is focused on US. Thats what we need at this time. Those of you that have not voted I urge you to vote in first your best interest and second in the best interest of our community.  (Nov 1, 2010 | post #25)

I am sorry, but this particular poll is flawed. No reasoning - thinking person - will vote for Bill Randall. I'm sorry - it's just not going to happen. Even a republican knows - with Bill Randall - it's not going to work.  (Nov 1, 2010 | post #24)

See that is why Mr. Haney you've got to do the research. It's not about democrats and republicans when it comes to our public safety. It's about who is the person that will be more focused on the issues of not only the rural parts of the county, but of the towns as well. The sheriff will be responsible to the entire county and needs to find a way to make that happen and not pull resources and services away from the towns in order to make ends meet.  (Oct 29, 2010 | post #18)

when i look at what senator burr has done for the middle class i take into account his voting record and opinions on issues important to me. he Voted NO on $60B stimulus package for jobs, infrastructure, & energy, Voted NO on repealing tax subsidy for companies which move US jobs offshore, Rated 93% by the US COC, indicating a pro-business (big business not small) voting record, Voted NO on additional $10.2B for federal education & HHS projects, Voted NO on tax incentives for energy production and conservation,Voted NO on making oil-producing and exporting cartels illegal, Voted NO on $3.1B for emergency oil assistance for hurricane-hit areas,Rated 17% by the CAF, indicating opposition to energy independence,Voted YES on implementing CAFTA for Central America free-trade. Approves the Dominican Republic-Central America-United States-Free Trade Agreement entered into on August 5, 2005, with the governments of Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua (CAFTA-DR), and the statement of administrative action proposed to implement the Agreement. Voting YES would: Progressively eliminate customs duties on all originating goods traded among the participating nations - Preserve US duties on imports of sugar goods over a certain quota - Remove duties on textile and apparel goods traded among participating nations.....  (Oct 22, 2010 | post #619)
