Gov's budget includes K-12 cut

...And if you don't want to stay at home to home school, hire a teacher to home school your child. That's what I did. And in the future, I plan on being a teacher that tutors children that are home schooled.  (Feb 15, 2009 | post #37)

HOME SCHOOL....It's better anyway. Our kids learn alot more at home than in the public school systems. I know. I'm a teacher and I home school. There is too much wasted time in our schools and too many kids that need one on one and don't get it. It really saddens and sickens me. Take responsibility for your child's education and home school.  (Feb 15, 2009 | post #36)

Parents share concerns on SCUC boundaries

I'm thinking about starting an all day tutoring service in our area. What do you think? I know it was popular in the La Vernia and East Central areas. I am an educator that sees so much wasted time in the public schools and too many kids need one on one that I came up with this idea a while back. It would be in my home, to start with. Parents would be responsible for curriculum. I wanted the opinion of the people in our community, first. Thanks.  (Feb 15, 2009 | post #3)

Home school

I don't understand why people don't homeschool their children. There is too much wasted time in the public schools. Too many kids need one on one. I am an educator, I know. I see what's going on and it makes me sick. Teachers have too many kids in the classroom and too many of them need one on one. Too many kids are way below their reading level causing them to fall behind.  (Feb 15, 2009 | post #1)
