What Does A Dying U.S. Auto Industry Mean For The Rest Of Ameri...

Probably so... And besides any industry that is dying has predictable circumstances towards the fall of an economy. From the prefix 'eco' which means cycle, everything is co-related and each industry has certain contributions towards the rise and fall of an economy.  (Apr 2, 2008 | post #94)

Don't expect Clinton to stem outsourcing of jobs

I agree a lot with you La Maze. I guess what they think is that if they arrive in that place even if they are illegal, chances of getting caught is low and they'd rather take the risk because to them it is worth it.  (Apr 2, 2008 | post #7)

Using a Search Engine Optimization Company vs. Hiring an In-Hou...

Well, SEO aka Search Engine Optimization is a long run and some people just have no time for it or to some, they are either clueless how about SEO or these people are lazy to do it. I mean why have a hard time and/or waste time on it if one has the money? If they can afford it, why not? That way it be easier for them...  (Apr 2, 2008 | post #3)

Zoning question prompts action

Is there nothing we could do about this matter? I mean if this keeps up, eventually the effects will be felt by everyone and by then it would be too late to change it.  (Apr 2, 2008 | post #7)

Professor: Higher-paying firms get better employees
I don't believe higher-paying firms get better employees because there are too many firms who are not paying as high as the other companies and yet got better employees than those who paid higher. And as for firms paying lower than other firms, I don't think employees perform lower than expected. There are many employees who love their job though they are not getting high compensations and they performed better than those who are paid higher.
Oh really, Is that what you think? What I mean is that what if employees are told that they would be given extra payments/bonuses if certain quotas are achieved faster, or if they finish their job better than others, or if they finish faster than others... don't you think they would be motivated by such offers? Think about it...pay different amounts and you'll get different results..That's what I think.  (Apr 2, 2008 | post #8)

Left-brain skills are vital to global competitiveness
This is a terrible article! There's no focus and the title is misleading. Note on right and left brain: I would say we are a right brain society in the states. We are entrepreneurial, creative, independent thinkers, and visionary. But, we also prefer collegial to ranked authority. It's written into our constitution. Of course we are right brained! Any education system that tries to kill this is forgetting Hollywood, the music industry, marketing powers, Google, etc. Try to make ALL our kids left brained? What for?
Hell Yeah! I too was thinking of the title while reading some of the threads. Anyways back to the main point, I agree alot with magg here... It would be boring if it was purely intellectual and logic that runs the world. Personally I appreciate the diversity of people and how they think. They add contrasts and complement each other unknowingly through that. That's why it don't matter if they are left-brained or right-brained as long as they use it...hehehe... As they say, 'a mind is not a vessel to be filled but a candle to be lit.' Good day to all...  (Apr 2, 2008 | post #7)

The fall of the U.S. Dollar and its Implications to Outsourcing

Indeed many have discovered how outsourcing is a great means of income. Hence it can't be helped if countries such as the Philippines has citizens relying on this. And for outsourcing in US, I don't think US would bother to compete in this kind of field, wait I think it is somehow possible for US to be involved in outsourcing but not towards their country but outsourcing with other countries with less labor and less taxes.  (Apr 2, 2008 | post #2)
