how do i get rid of scabies once and for all? its driving...

Hi itcher, yes I have had different opinions about pyrethrum and that is because in between each post I have read new information and had a few experiences that caused me to feel more cautious about the pymethrum. It definitely worked for me and killed the mites however there have been cases of people having severe allergic reactions to pymethrum such as anaphylaxis and dying from it. I have encouraged people to do their own research and make their own decisions. I would use it again but I would dilute it according to the instructions on the bottle, rather than use it undiluted as I did the first time. I have spoken with one doctor about using it and he seemed to think that it wouldn't cause parkinsons disease, however he could be wrong and it comes down to individuals making their own decisions.  (Dec 7, 2011 | post #2170)

Pyrethrum kills scabies but I wouldn't recommend using it because it is connected to Parkinson's disease.  (Dec 5, 2011 | post #2167)

THE CURE FOR SCABIES IS PYRETHRUM! NOT PERMETHRIN. PYRETHRUM is the natural substance that permethrin was based on. Pyrethrum comes from chrysanthemum flowers, it is non-toxic to mammals but toxic to aquatic life.(A word of CAUTION: SOME PEOPLE HAVE ALLERGIC REACTIONS TO PYRETHRUM DESPITE IT BEING CLASSIFIED AS NON-TOXIC. So dilute the mixture according to the instructions on the bottle, if that doesn't kill the mites dilute it less and try again, read more about this below.) Permethrin is fairly non-toxic for humans but toxic for cats and aquatic life. The problem with permethrin is that some generations of scabies mites have become resistant to it. Apparently there are no insects that are resistant to pyrethrum, because its molecules are more complex than its synthetic counterpart and because hardly one uses it- we have all been conned by chemical companies into thinking synthetic chemicals work best. You can read about the difference between pyrethrum and permethrin here http://www.livingw ithbugs.com/permet hrin_pyre ... and about insect resistance to chemicals here http://www.pestech .com.au/insect-res istance/ Read about how pyrethrum kills insects here under 'mechanism of action': http://en.wikipedi a.org/wiki/Pyrethr oid How I used pyrethrum to cure myself of scabies: I purchased a bottle of pyrethrum from a garden/hardware centre. Be sure you get one that contains only pyrethrum and one other component- Piperonyl butoxide- its there to enhance the pyrethrum. PIPERONYL BUTOXIDE IS NOT SAFE FOR PREGNANT WOMEN, AND VERY YOUNG CHILDREN- however it seems to be safe for the rest of us- read more about it here: http://en.wikipedi a.org/wiki/Piperon yl_butoxi ... http://npic.orst.e du/factsheets/pbog en.pdf (Some people have had ADVERSE REACTIONS TO PYRETHRUM, research and use your own judgement.) Get the one that has just pyrethrum (which may be called pyrethrins when they note the concentration) and piperonyl butoxide. I bought a bottle with this concentration: 4g/L Pyrethrum and 16g/L of Piperonyl butoxide. You can buy it in stronger and weaker concentrations. I covered myself completely in the stuff, without diluting it, even though it says that when you use it on the garden you put 20mls of it in 1 litre of water. IMPORTANT- I was ok when I used the solution undiluted but a friend had an allergic reaction, her face became red and puffy, some people feel dizzy, nauseous etc. Even if you are fine after using it at the same strength I did don't think it is safe to do it everyday. Remember everyone is different and will cope with it differently. I used it undiluted the first time then diluted after that and it cured me, but it could be just as effective when used diluted everytime. You can put it on your genitals and it won't sting, it has virtually no odor and won't stain your clothes. I wet all of my hair with it, my scalp, my face, including close to my eyes...everywhere. It kills mites in minutes, but I left it on my body overnight. Once you have put it on you may feel a pinprick or a bite now or then, it is a mite that was too deep in the skin to be killed- just spray some on the area and it will die. This happens mostly on the scalp. Continue to spray a small amount on yourself wherever you itch, treat yourself all over once every five days until your completely clear. If you are wary that the concentration I have used is too high just dilute it more. You can dilute this mixture and use it to spray your environment. You can spray it on your clothes or soak them in it after you have washed them, then hang them on the line away from sun so the pymethrum doesn't break down. Mites will be repelled from your clothes till you wash them again. Pymethrum harms aquatic life, so if you care about the environment put your clothes in the sun before you wash them again, the sun will break down the pymethrum so not so much will get into water. P.S. I have posted this a few times but with changes, this one includes ref to allergic reactions.  (Dec 2, 2011 | post #2154)

You may read that pyrethroids are toxic to cats, if you read that they are talking about the synthetic version- perethrin, not the organic version, pyrethrum. The natural version may also be referred to as pyrethrins- watch for the py at the beginning. read about how pyrethrum kills insects here under 'mechanism of action': http://en.wikipedi a.org/wiki/Pyrethr oid How I used pyrethrum to cure myself of scabies: I purchased a bottle of pyrethrum from a garden/hardware centre. Don't buy one that has any chemicals in it or chilli and garlic. It will be toxic, stink and sting. I bought a bottle with this concentration: 4g/L Pyrethrum and 16g/L of Piperonyl butoxide. You can buy it in stronger and weaker concentrations, whichever you get dilute it with water according to the instructions on bottle. The first time I used it I didn't dilute it, but I think its best to, and VERY economical too. You can put it on your genitals and it won't sting, it has virtually no odor and won't stain your clothes. I wet all of my hair with it, my scalp, my face, including close to my eyes...everywhere. It kills mites in minutes, but I left it on my body overnight. This happens mostly on the scalp. Spray a small amount on yourself wherever you itch, treat yourself all over twice a day, until your completely clear.(2 weeks at most) You can spray it on your laundry, I would suggest after you have washed them, because if you put it in your washing machine it will get into the water system and harm fish. Don't use it in sunlight, it doesn't work. Spray your house and car with it. You will still have a rash for a while, I would keep using the pyrethrum till the rash is gone and there is no itching. Exfoliating reduces itching and helps eliminate toxins. Tea tree oil also eases itching. Stay away from all sugars including fruit sugars. I am cured now and you will be too, at very little cost and no toxicity.  (Nov 29, 2011 | post #1)
