Mogul opened first theater here 100 years ago
I was at the Orpheum last night to see Neil Young. Very good show. Neil is still experimenting with has many guitars and carrying along with him instruments he's had for 30+ years. Great show. Neil even made a comment about the Orpheum. It's in disrepair and sadly and shamefully falling apart. It hasn't been painted in years and it looks like hell. In a town as rich as Boston, the Orpheum should be shinning like the jewel it is. (Dec 4, 2007 | post #1)

Police block street after shooting
Wondering if you could possibly explain yourself? Is this just a racist rant or does it have any basis in reality? Such comments & attitudes do nothing to further progress in communication between people of different backgrounds/groups which ought to be a goal of all U.S. citizens. It is clear, whether you know it or not, there are plenty of very successful and intelligent people in any group you care to evaluate. Your comment to this forum is no better than SPAM. Would like to have a discussion about Boston's community centers. There are about 35-40 community centers serving lots of people. These centers need our financial assistance as well as moral support. Wondering what you think of your local community center. (Dec 3, 2007 | post #1)

LOWELL -- A 26-year-old Lowell man remained hospitalized under ...
This is a terrible tragedy but literally millions of positive things happened concurrent with this event. Let's focus on that too! As you know, millions of mental health professionals, social workers, doctors, scientists, teachers, police, and other fine and decent people are focusing on how to help the sick, mentally ill and insane. No doubt they will be working with the criminal in this case to punish and , if possible, rehabilitate. Let's say a prayer for the victim and make sure we support efforts of the above mentioned "workers for the good" who are doing positive things every day to help our communities be better. Where is the best shopping in downtown Boston?
It all depends, of course, on what you're shopping for. I am partial to the following areas for shopping: in an around Harvard, MIT. The Waterfront & Wharves, the North End, Beacon Hill, and of course Back Bay where you'll find the premier shopping area in Boston: Newbury Street. Let me know what you're looking for and I'll try to point you to more specific venues/stores. (Nov 19, 2007 | post #1)
